The retro theme pinball market is hot right now! With old movies and bands being some of the most popular themes of late.

It occurred to me that with five movies in the series, a huge fanbase and cult following and Charles Bronson not yet being represented on a pinball machine (I believe), the time is right for a Death Wish pinball machine. Thoughts?

Dirty Harry is one of the best licensed pinball games from the 90s and is more popular today than ever . How bout a little of the same kind of love for Sir Charles?

All your favorite thugs could be included, including The Giggler!

With the new one coming out, might well be time to do a Charles Bronson version.

If you're going to go retro wouldn't you go with Godfather or something like that?

Oh, and if you want Sir Charles... Great Escape.

Actually I would do Death Wish. Which is why I started this thread.

But there is still plenty of room on this forum if you would like to start a thread for Godfather.

Love the Death Wish movies. Bronson was the man! I'd buy it.

#10 7 years ago

That's what I like to hear! This game would be so cool in any lineup.

#11 7 years ago

Charles Bronson rocks! Its kinda of crazy that he was freaking 52 when he did DW. Such a cultural phenomena.

Bruce Willis is almost 62.

You know I'm down with III & the Wildey.

Chuck kept making these terrible movies into his 70s. I think they made 5 of these friggin' things?!

Quoted from CrazyLevi:

part of the new death wish was filmed where i work.
the scene is when he return home and found his family is dead.

i was supposed to be there when he did that scene, was pissed i couldn't go.

Dude, Spoilers WTF?!?

I thought III was one of the most entertaining movies of the mid 80s. Rambo had nothing on that one. The scene where he took out the Giggler is legendary.

I've probably watched that one 20 times now, as opposed to Ghostbusters, a movie I can hardly make it thru 5 minutes of. And that one got a pinball machine....

Fun fact- Kevyn Major Howard, who played one of the thugs in Death Wish II, played a similar role later on in the Dirty Harry movie Sudden Impact.

Yeah DWIII was right in my wheelhouse growing up; must have seen it 20 times for sure. I never saw DWI till years later actually. Man Chuck makes himself look like a real rube to sucker The Giggler in.

Edit: That's Rafterman to you.

I have to say of the two Dirty Harry stars, Rafterman looks to be holding up a little better these days.

Thanks buddy! It's like Friday for me heading into a three day weekend, the sun is shining, and the cafeine has me in high gear. Plus when I read another thread where they are begging for another BTTF game, I knew there had to be something better.

#28 7 years ago

Id be all over a Deathwish pin! Great idea !!!!

#29 7 years ago

I bet herbertbsharp might like one as well. Where is that guy?

#30 7 years ago

I would love to see a DW pin. Agree about the callouts - the series has some great material to draw from. Charlie was always a badass but played low key. Rare trait in society nowadays. Shoutout to herbertsharp.

Davros will exterminate you if you call it DW

You are correct. Perhaps DEATH might be a more suitable name.

LOL JUST SAW THIS THREAD!! Death Wish 3 for the win!

#39 7 years ago

The man of the hour has arrived!

#41 7 years ago

You could seriously have 100's of call outs just from Death Wish 3.

"I tore it out"
"That means I get to violate your constitutional rights!"
"Lend me 5 dollars sucka!"
"He's dead! I'm glad he's deeead! That's the creep that stole my pocket book 3 weeks ago"
"Teeth"

and for attract mode "Yo bitch come here I wanna eat you!"

#42 7 years ago

Way to go starting this thread O-Din, I'm laughin my ass off just thinking about this

#43 7 years ago

Oh yeah, Chuck Bronson for the win!

So much better than a lot themes getting pumped out. Dialed In comes to mind.

Vigilante fantasy of the 1970s. Mild mannered liberal's wife is murdered and daughter raped. Learns that true justice can only come from shedding his liberal ideals and buying a really big gun.

Not exactly a feel-good film experience but provided a catharsis for people in the 1970s who wanted to make America great again.

I finally saw it a few years back. Was kind of boring and I really don't remember much about it besides the premise, and the ultra weird fact that Christopher guest has an early career appearance at the end as a young cop.

And who could ever forget Martin Balsam in DW III?

It's alright. You really need to watch the third one to see what the fuss is all about. It's kind of like Commando meets Rambo, with maybe a slightly higher body count.

I've seen the finale on tv. And yes it was awesome and hilarious.

Somehow incorporate the Whoa Nellie! Pinball into a Mr. Majestyk theme, big juicy melons and all . . .
