Yes, they should. But what is driving them to do so now - nothing. Because, as Stern is quick to point out, they are the only ones in the biz (for now), there is no one who is going to do it better and no one for them to lose money to if they don't change.
Fast forward a few years after a couple new guys release a couple newer, and hopefully bar-raising products they may be compelled to actually change due to competition.
