For Christmas, I'd like a bottle of Novus #1 whose pump doesn't leak like a dollar-store seive right out of the box.

    #2 5 years ago

You probably got a bad pump.

Use the one off the old bottle.

    #3 5 years ago

They must've changed something with the design because I've got two new, leaky ones here as well. Never a problem in the last 9 years except for these new ones.

    #4 5 years ago

My old one never leaked. My new one does.

    #5 5 years ago

    Sounds like a great idea

    #6 5 years ago

Haha, I thought it was just me manhandling the sprayer or something. There must have been a bad batch of them. BadBrick's #1 bottle doesnt leak like mine does, but his was bought more recently.

This is 3 in a row over the past four months....

    #8 5 years ago

Yup the last 3 leaking like a 90 year old man .

    #9 5 years ago

    man that is funny! LOL

    #10 5 years ago

Bought one a few months back, leaks.
Buddy just bought one a few weeks ago, leaks.

    #11 5 years ago

    My latest leaks all over....

    #12 5 years ago

Novus has probably changed suppliers of the pumps they buy. They should of tested the new pumps. The o ring in the pump has failed. You could try a similar pump off another product, like the car air fragrances. The product pick up tubes sometimes can be interchanged.

    #13 5 years ago

My last 4 have leaked as well…...

    #14 5 years ago

Keep an eight ounce bottle just for refilling and only buy the 64 ounce jumbo jugs. There about half the cost of buying eight of those eight ounce bottles seperate.

Here is the fix, once you try this you won't be buying Novus #1 again.

Just buy Novus #2 for everything at $4 something for a eight ounce bottle.

    Note to self:

Keep old pump for new bottle of Novus #1

    #18 5 years ago

My last 3 have leaked also. Who has the 64oz jugs anymore? I haven't seen them the last few places I looked..

PBR has always carried them, you might have to ask for it.

Thx, I see it on their site now. I haven't ordered anything from them in a long time. Usually it's Marco or Bay Area I get from..

    #22 5 years ago

    Oh.. Sry. You said NOvus.

    #23 5 years ago

Never even thought to look there. Decent price too...Have to keep it in mind when I run low next time..Thx!

Use Bleche Wite for your plastics, but not on your playfield. Shouldn't use Novus 1 on playfield either, just Novus 2.

Just buff with a clean microfiber cloth after using Bleche Wite and plastic is dry.

    #25 5 years ago

I have left some good spray bottles in the garage in the winter and when they freeze and thaw they leak and won't pump right . Could they have frozen during shipping?

    #26 5 years ago

This sounds like a common problem....... best look into it Novus, word travels fast

    4 weeks later
    #27 5 years ago

Sent them an email about it, got no reply to the email but one week later I had three new pumps arrive inthe mail

Shouldn't use Novus 1 on the playfield? Is this true?

    #29 5 years ago

I and many others use Novus 1 all the time, works great.

    He probably meant novus 3.

A good sign of great service towards the consumer. Very positive.

    +1 for leaking pump

Ya, that's what i was thinking, i've read many replies about not to use #3, but that was the first time i seen not to use #1. I should have Novus #1 and #2 in the mail next week. I can't wait to make everything look pretty again My playfield is pretty clean, but has a cpl ball traces that i would like to remove.

    #34 5 years ago

I have a few bottles like this. I never thought to complain. A simple email got me a response a few hours later and some more spray tops on the way.

Mines leaky. My Novus 1 bottle that is.

    #36 5 years ago

I just filled out the form on the novus site. I'd love a pump or two that doesnt leak, I hate using my novus 1 because of it.

    #37 5 years ago

Wow, clearly a rash of bad pumps, but glad to see they're responding. Indeed the easy way out is to just use a different pump, but pretty soon our standards as consumers are going to be so crappy that we'll be OK with a Ziploc bag full of the stuff. If it was my company, I'd rather know there's a problem and have a chance to fix it than think everything is OK and have people be silently bitter. Thanks for making some noise, folks.

    #38 5 years ago

Yep, the only thing I am consistent at is getting a spray pump that doesn't work over and over and over again. Novus replaced my last one for me with a BRAND NEW one that of course leaks!

    #39 5 years ago

Here is the response I got. Can't expect anything more than this. Great customer service (assuming I get the new sprayers)

Thank you for your inquiry from our website. We have recently switched to a new sprayer cap because we were having issues with the last batch of sprayers. Please let me know the state and zip code and I will send out a few replacement. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    #40 5 years ago

I also sent them an email and an hour later received a response advising "Thank you for your inquiry from our website. I will send out a replacement sprayer. We switched to a new sprayer because we were having some issues with the last batch of sprayers."

    #41 5 years ago

I got a reply email very similar to the other ones that have been posted, will update when the new pumps get here.

    #42 5 years ago

    I'm keeping my old sprayer!!!

    #43 5 years ago

I wish the bottles were more cylindrical. I tip them over constantly.
