I’ve played 3 different DI’s; 2 had the protector and the other 1 did not. The 2 with the protector, I couldn’t make the shot for the life of me and it really turned me off because...the DI I played that didn’t have a protector I could make the SIM shot nearly on demand. It was a beautiful thing.
My point; if I ever owned a DI (in my home environment) I would be very very tempted to remove that protector and enjoy the game as it was intended.
