Hey Guys just wanted some opinions. I'm thinking about either a deadpool pro or a ghostbusters premium while i wait for cgc to sort out monster bash issues and availability.

I’d go Deadpool at least until the code is finished for gb. Every stern of the union announcement people are complaining about the code not being finished. It’s been years now with no end in sight.

Played both, own GBP. Its GB hands down, somehow you feel ‘empty’ playing DP. Who ya gonna call?

I do not own gb , but heard enough on the code mess. I would get dp. Its funnier than gb, and after all, that's what your playing pinball for. Plus, dp is getting code updates and the game is improving where on gb you don't know when and how good updates will be on Ghostbusters . Look how many people have sold gb with their frustrations in gameplay.

Code is not a huge deal breaker for me. None of the people that will be playing are nowhere good enough to make it that far into the game.

I will say this. GB is a hard game and can be discouraging to noobs and mediocre players. Deadpool is not a terrible game and it is much easier.

Quirky games. Ghostbusters wins on nostalgia and the premium is one of the more loaded Sterns. Both win on art, callouts, and unique layouts. But Tanio has been adding layers to DP which make it more engaging and ultimately more fun to play in comparison.

I own both. They are two of the most beautiful looking, best sounding and uniquely layed out tables in all of pinball.

I’ve never wanted to love a game more than Ghostbusters. It’s a dream theme and has the best production and toys Stern has ever done. However, it is a complete pile of shit. The scoring is criminally unbalanced, the right ramp is an abortion, the captive balls don’t make any sense and the code has more holes than Julius Caesar.

Deadpool on the other hand has a clunkfest right orbit that half the time drops clumsily into the shooter lane, probably the lamest interactive bash toy I’ve ever seen hamfisted into a game, and a primary ramp shot that is known to reject if not set up just perfectly. It’s also a complete blast and I can barely pull myself away from it. Multiballs can be constant, battles feel like long form hurry ups, the callouts are hilarious and the animations are the most unique applied to a LCD yet.

Deadpool is the better game, and it’s not even to 1.0 yet so it has room to further improve. Ghostbusters has had ample time to prove its shortcomings, neglect to improve on them and even have the programmer promise us that there is no hope for major revisions.

I’ve tried to like Deadpool, but I just can’t. I think it’s clunky and the animation isn’t very good. I’ve played ghostbusters a hand full of times and liked it. I don’t know how it would last long term, but it was fun. That being said I would pick a handful of other games before ghostbusters. I wouldn’t pick Deadpool over any pin as of today.

Ghostbusters all day, and a premium on top of that? Sorry Deadpool.

Trying to decide, but...

I would go Deadpool pro but I prefer GB pro over deadpool and GB premium.

The layout of Deadpool is not very good but the rules are great . The layout of Ghostbusters is better but the rules are not good . I’d go with Deadpool .

Tough call! Same price point? - GB.
I love my DP pro tho, and would like a GB pro down the road

I’d vote GB premium.

I finally got some decent time on DP this weekend. I played Prem and LE, not Pro. First off, the LE is nice but not worth the extra change in my opinion. Cosmetic upgrades don't move me to shell out more cash. Having said that, I thought the Prem was a lot of fun, and it has playfield/gameplay upgrades for the additional cost. I'm definitely considering that to be my next purchase. Not having played the Pro, I think I would be let down by it. The repeatable left loop was a serious rush, and it gives an additional mode not available on the Pro. I'll also take drops over stand-ups (even though you're paying for them).

I have a GB Prem, and I really enjoy it. However, it is not a novice pin. My wife and friends hate it. They don't know what to do (and aren't open to instruction), and when they shoot the "flashing lights" there is usually on one or two lit at any time. Moreover, it's not hit the flashing light over and over, you have to hit each light to advance. Needless to say, novices with bad aim get frustrated because their scores are usually pretty bad, and they don't get very far.

If it's for you and you know what you're getting into, I'd say GB Prem over DP pro. GB Prem just has too much going for it. A final update will make it better, but even without it, it's a great game and an awesome challenge.

Is this even a remotely close call? Ghostbusters Premium by miles.
