I’m pretty set on a premium but one of the better reviews I have seen (of the pro) is from SDTM and the two concerns I have are with two of the shots.

Shot 1 - Main Concern
Second ramp on the left side that you hit from the right side... crosses the play field and then goes up the ramp. Looks like an incredible shot. They were saying this is a very very low probability shot and it’s very frustrating.

Question: has anything changed since their review in 2018? Is there a fix to this?

Shot 2 - least concern
Right orbit. Again they reference the chunky ness of the shot. Bounces around most of the time. Not smooth at all and falling back into the shooter lane sucks.

I can deal with shot 2 but I think shot 1 would drive me nuts.

Thoughts??

Thanks for your time.

#8769 3 years ago

Thanks for the comments on the shots. I definitely need to play it. Sleepy offered to let me come by and give it a spin.

Thanks again.

Quoted from mcuzz:

I have a LE, if you’re ever in Georgetown you can drop in and play mine.
I have played pro/pre/LE, I don’t think I could do without the Disco ball or Disco modes.

Thanks for the offer!!! I may take you up on that.

DP pro FINALLY on its way. Any “must have” mods?
I have the topper and will have an external sub.
Thanks in advance.

Joined the club today. Bone stock for now except for the topper. Couple mods on route, powdercoating in July.

Never played the game before or seen it in person. Absolutely love it.

Quoted from J85M:

Must have mods imo:
• Hooked on pinball pop cap ninja stars
• Lucxor katana handle, it’s simply the best version out there period, day and night difference with the factory plastics.
• shaker
• non reflective glass
• and removing the red gi for white is a big improvement.

Thank you. Have the glass shaker and katana handle on my list. Also looking at a couple spotlights.

I will have to search up the whit GI bulbs. Haven’t come across that yet

They look incredible. Hard to install?

#14303 1 year ago

Good to know on the install. They look so good.

Halo vs Non-Halo?

I see he says softer with the Halo on marketplace but the it’s the esthetics that’s incredible.

Also… lowering flipper power is a great problem/adjustment to have.

Will get my order in soon.

Quoted from punkin:

Been a fan since day one and put the first edition solid flippers in Tron, then swapped the bottom ones out recently when the halo's came in blue.
Big differences.
First the sound, the solids sound like an alloy baseball bat striking a ball, that tinny sound.
Halo's have a distinct sound without the tinny ring.
Halos feel like they are better at catching, tip passing and a whole lot of stunt pinball that makes me look a better player than i am, i don't know why, but it's noticeable.
Both flippers ARE more accurate and repeatable with shots like Gem on Tron becoming easier. It's widely reported through the thread that the tricky shots on games are easier with Precision flippers. Both seem to be good at this and i believe it's the lack of flex combined with the alloy bushings. Try warping a plastic bat in your hand and see how much flex they really do have.
Finally the innovation, they are being constantly revised and improved, often through feedback from pinside within the thread.

Quoted from joelbob:

I’ve played with both and I prefer the Halo. Not saying the standards are bad but the Halo are awesome!!!

Outstanding. Thank you.

I will order a few sets of Halo's!

Quoted from Itch:

Hi does anybody know if there is different modded code from the cleland and I can’t remember the other guys name,
I read somewhere that there is a different code? Not sure if I have imagined reading it though,
Cheers

I don't know about anyone else but Cleland does not have a code for this game.

Just bought a few systems, can't wait to try them out.

I went with Red and the plan was for black rubbers.

Your gold ones are nice though.

Quoted from Ponzie:

Big difference?

No I don't think so. Nothing earth changing but I think that's a good thing. They feel great.

#14440 1 year ago

My little DP has a bit of a rubberneck. Seems to always want to turn his head and try to catch off my score. Any solution to keep the little bugger looking forward? Glue the spring inside his cavity?

#14444 1 year ago

Thanks all.

I will move forward with the glue.

Quoted from daveddd14:

The only other thing I changed was turning off the dynamic extra ball weapon setting, it was fine for me but made my family and casual players never be able to get enough weapons for an EX.

What does that setting do?

Tried for 2 years to get a billion. Closest I got was 800mil (ish)

Then I get 2.1 bil with 6x. Pinball can be a funny B!tch.

Was ½ way through T-Rex. Meg was done. No idea what was next.

Pinball is funny some times.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

Nice score! I’m usually around 600-700 mil. I can defeat most of the enemies, and I’m pretty good at hitting the snnnnkkkt (or whatever it’s called) shot. I just aim for the Wolverine spinner but delay just slightly with my left flipper, as discussed above. I’m probably not qualifying that shot or building the award properly, because I seem to hit the target frequently. I can hit that other small standup out of the little horseshoe shot too. It awards a jackpot I think. I’ve only put 20-30 plays on mine so far. I’ve got a lot to learn. Some pins you can play a long game and feel like you are killing it, then your score is surprisingly low. Understanding the rules seems especially important on DP.

600-700mil regularly is incredibly. My understanding of the rules and scoring is sub par.

Quoted from BrokenChair:

My little Deadpool head keeps turning backwards should I just buy a new one I re adjust but goes back again after a game lol
I know this is not a big deal to most but to me, I would like to see little Deadpool’s head

Mine was a rubber necker too. Little hot glue and he's steady now.
