Here is a video of George's dead pool talk at expo, the end of the recording goes a bit funny (not sure why my screwup I think) but it give you the gist of it.

stream with direct output!

#1052 5 years ago
Quoted from Rob_G:

I've seen limited video of the LE/Premium gameplay, but those disco loops sure look fun. The lights and sounds are great too! It's a tough call for sure for me if I would pick the Premium over the pro. I'm leaning pro if I get a DP.
Rob

See my stream above - I would go for the premium for sure. The diverter works well and its a great shot to hit and the disco ball is a cute feature. I played the pro a lot first but went for LE without playing a premium or LE, then played the premium at expo and was really glad I got the LE. The play just feels a lot smoother and more flowing and the loop shot to the divertor is superb.

Any of you guys getting a situation where there is a ball in lil'deadpool but the drop targets won't drop? It then shows and error on the screen? Mine just started to do this.

Cheers,
Neil

#1441 5 years ago
Quoted from PoolFan:

I’ve had this happen a few times. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed an error message. It only released the trapped ball if you let all other balls drain.

nope, mine never recovers...

Neil.

Quoted from mannymasy:

I continue with this same problem. Will not it happen to anyone else? The blocking seems to work well until there is more than one player.

seen that once in a tournament game a few versions ago. but never since.

#1825 5 years ago

twenty84 had an issue that he resolved by moving the mech (search the forum), I did also but mine seemed to be a dirty opto as once I'd cleaned it it was fine.

agree, I can't believe that people don't rate this over that turd Munsters. DP is sooooo much better than that game.

#1862 5 years ago

seen quite a few headless lil'DP's have stern addressed it?

Quoted from Gov:

Many Sterns and CPR playfields have been this way for years now. Not all of them mind you, but a lot. Seems to be the luck of the draw anymore.

don't forget CGC!

#2463 5 years ago
Quoted from Gov:

I guess we have been lucky. We have bought 6 NIB Sterns over the last couple of years and haven't gotten a 'ribbed' playfield. I have known people that have though.
That said, I have 2 CPR playfields that are ribbed.

very lucky, all the LCD games I've bough, IMDN, GOTG, B66 and DP have it. It's shite.

#2465 5 years ago
Quoted from PinMonk:

I wonder if that has to do with the sea air while they're being shipped or the fact that overseas are run first and get the "less practiced" early playfields.

Could be temperature related I doubt its warm on that voyage. but we definitely in the UK don't get the first run anymore. Stern seems to focus on the US market first now and then goes to Europe. Which is a little annoying given they used to launch the game world wide, Now we get to watch you guys play the new games for about 6 weeks before we see them.

Quoted from Vinnie:

Glad yours is minor but not all playfields are the same. Here's my Iron Maiden Pro with around 600 plays. Chipped in under 3 weeks of ownership. Has pooling at basically every post. Some Jurassic Parks are chipping as well. It's luck of the draw on what you're going to get right now.[quoted image]

What’s your disty saying?

Quoted from Chisox:

It’s funny, I’ve never seen a pic of DP wedged into someone’s lineup. It’s always on the end for some reason..any thoughts?[quoted image]

oh no you didn't!

also hoping we see a new code release.

I looked into the coin door interlock. Seems like that when the machine is born its told whether it has interlock or not. My BK:SOR has the cable but its looped. I took the loop out expecting the interlock cut of to kick in but it didn't.

I really want to retrofit the interlock switch because it makes dealing with in game playing issues (Stuck ball etc) much more safer.

low reflection glass is a must have. best mod for any new LCD game. For any DMD game ColorDMD and this glass two most important updates!

the loop shot is worth the money for the premium on its own.

Jerry has made an amazing different to the sound of games at Stern, and its not just the processing but he does a lot of musical arrangements that really sound amazing. Music in this game, Bk:SOR and Elvira are simply outstanding.
