Quoted from Robertstone0407:

Code says .95 but theres alot of bugs and stuff that needs added really

Perhaps we'll see "Mechsuit Multiball", "The Megakrakolodonus" and "Berserker Rage" in next code release.

#1099 5 years ago

George Gomez previewed at Expo the "Berserker Rage" during his seminar :

Quoted from mannymasy:

this game is not going to improve much more ... I hope to make mistakes but if they release more codes they will only be corrections ...

I still believe that these two modes are coming (as seen in 0.96 & 0.97 with pinball browser) :

-The MegaKrakolodonus Rex
-Mister Sinister Part III

They only want to fix some bugs and make some adjustments before adding more content.

Official topper available on backorder at Little Shop of Games :

Deadpool.topper (resized).jpgDeadpool.topper (resized).jpg

#1681 5 years ago
Quoted from paul_8788:

I wonder if there are two different toppers for Deadpool, like with IMDN. There are two adjustments in the new DP code, topper motor seek and topper motor spin, I don't see anything they would correspond to in that pic.

I think (speculation) that Deadpool's right hand is moving/swinging on the topper (that would explain the presence of a motor).

Tanio Klyce did, so far, an extremely neat job on Deadpool, he can be proud !

I think one feature is missing on version 1.00.0, it's the achivements based high scores, for example :

NINJA CHAMPION
WEAPON CHAMPION
CHIMICHANGA CHAMPION
LIL DEADPOOL CHAMPION
DISCO CHAMPION
MECHSUIT MB CHAMPION
KATARAMA TIME CHAMPION
SABERTOOTH CHAMPION
JUGGERNAUT CHAMPION
MYSTIQUE CHAMPION
SAURON CHAMPION
T-REX CHAMPION
MEGALODON CHAMPION
MR SINISTER CHAMPION
BONUS CHAMPION

There could be others...some could have crazier names...Tanio has certainly think of that.

Ninja Apocalypse
Had two of these this game... Is it just a rad animation/sound or do you get any decent points? Doesn't show...

I think that Ninjapocalypse collect 20 Ninjas, making 2 millions points in bonus.

Quoted from Bazzy34:

From what I remember, the model matrix sheet (comparing Pro/Premium/LE) didn’t show the Premium having RGB, but it does have RGB lighting right?

Deadpool has 7 RGB inserts on the playfield, plus the RGB BOOM button, on all models.

#2858 4 years ago
Quoted from Ravvis:

Does everyone have rubbers here? On both side of the outlines. I feel like there should be but none were installed.
[quoted image]

They are in the goodies bag. Feel free to install them.

#2864 4 years ago
Quoted from amkoepfer:

Are they supposed to be installed?

In home environnement, it makes the game more enjoyable with longer ball time.

#2872 4 years ago
Quoted from durgee7:

Fyi - Not that anyone here is wanting to add a playfield protector to their new HUO Deadpool, but be warned. I got shamed last time I posted, and I'll admit I am probably being too protective of the playfield...but damn, there are newton rings showing up all over the place. Just letting you know in case you go this route.
[quoted image][quoted image]

Just lift the protector a bit where possible and "blow" it away with a compressor or with a hair dryer on cold position. If the wet spots return, please repeat the process.

Maybe you have to do it several times.

#2873 4 years ago

I think it hasn't been posted here before. I've found this pre release pro translite art on Zombie Yeti's website. Find the differences with the one we know, there are some.

6.9 seems to be the sweat spot for me.

#2985 4 years ago
Quoted from Buckman:

For those that bought the Stern topper, what are your thoughts (basically is it worth it and does it have much interaction with the game play)?

I think it matches the design of the machines (all editions included) pretty well. There are several cool lighting patterns. The main interaction with the game is during match animation, Deapool makes a thumb up or down depending on match sucess. I have no regret with this acquisition but the price is too high in my opinion for this accessorie.

Quoted from NeilMcRae:

anyone get the optional tops for the pop bumpers - any gotcha's in fitting?

Installation of the Stern ones is easy except the Wolverine one. I had to push a little on Wolverine foot in order to mount the shuriken with the brushed side up, like the two others.

I had low expectation on this kit but it turns to be a good surprise. It matches the katana and the ramps and gives a little more shine to the game.

(reposting here after posting to the less active Deadpool: Owner's And Issues thread)
It looks like version 1.02 is the latest on Stern's site (https://sternpinball.com/support/game-code/). A friend (of a friend of a friend) just got a Deadpool Pro delivered that's running version 1.03.
Does anyone have any info about version 1.03?
Thanks!

Excellent, Stern will perhaps reiterate the "STERN 4TH OF JULY CODE EXPLOSION!" event this year.

Quoted from mbelofsky:

I think others have mentioned this in the past. I found a black zip tie and secured Wolverine’s right leg to the top of the spinner bracket. This leg was falling behind the bracket and affecting the spinner.
It’s the little things in life that make you happy when they work correctly.[quoted image]

I've made the same on mine, but the black zip didn't stay on foot very long, despite tightening. After many repositionings, I finished to remove the black zip definitively a few months later. Afterall It have had a benefit because the Wolverine's leg never left down again.

#4064 4 years ago
Quoted from mbelofsky:

My modified attempt. I kept the first tie around the toes. Was at Starbucks and noticed a women wearing a shoe with the straps tied around her legs several times. I decided to add a second tie that criss-crosses around the back of the leg and then loops around the front.
Looking at the other foot, now he has two matching ties.
[quoted image]

Great, it can do the job in this improved version

Quoted from sohchx:

I've also found an area that should be addressed for wear. Behind the targets , when the they get hit by the ball the rear edges of them seem to be denting into the wood which I fear later down the road will cause clear chipping issues. I'm going to forward my pic to Cliff and ask if anything is in the works for that area. I have a similar target Cliffy on one of my other machines.[quoted image]

Cliffy's three drop targets bank protector fits perfectly on Deadpool for this use. I have one on lil' Deadpool for six months.

Quoted from PinMonk:

I got Mr. Sinister (or what I assume is him, it was a VERY stereotypical vampire guy) doing a callout in Disco Multiball the other day. It cracked me up.

I think that the vampire is Morbius and the voice is from Tim Kitzrow (Elvira, Attack from Mars, Twilight Zone...)

So I just got a premium and it has code Version 1.03? I have no idea what the differences are.

It has the interlock support, not more.

The game is great already, but it would be sweet if they added a little more like expanding the high score tables.

Yes, it's essential for a modern game.

Is there a mod for the LE that makes the disco ball spin? Sorry, new to the game so I have some dumb questions. I found mods for the pro, but nothing that looked like it did the LE.

The disco ball spins on the LE, no mod needed.

From TMNT game code 1.11 read me file, released earlier this week :

"Fixed the monospacing of some score fonts."

TMNT and Deadpool share the same framework, the Dwight's one. Then, we can hope that Deadpool will benefit soon from this needed and awaited fix.

Stern adds a jukebox feature called "DJ Mixer" in the latest TMNT game code.

It will be included in all future game codes releases for Spike 2 pinball machines.

It would be so rad on Deadpool!

"GAME PLAY B.BOX BRIGHTNESS".
- When ending a game ramp the backbox GI from "GAME PLAY B.BOX BRIGHTNESS" to
"ATTRACT MODE B.BOX BRIGHTNESS".
- New Standard Adjustment "START BUTTON ATTRACT MODE ILLUM."
This adjustment, which is only available and active when the game is in FREE PLAY mode, controls
the behavior of the Start Button Light.
Values are:
"ALWAYS OFF" - Start Button Light is always off when in attract mode.
"BLINKING" - Start Button Light will blink when in attract mode. This is the DEFAULT and previous behavior.
"ALWAYS ON" - Start Button Light is always on when in attract mode.
- Update TARGET_GAME_TIME adjustment to ensure a minimal ballsaver even after
the target game time is met.
- Do not display LOCATING NODE BOARD at boot when coin door interlock switch
has disabled node board power.
- Improve backbox and cabinet audio synchronization.
- Update the HSTD reset counter when the Standard Adjustment is changed.
- Added TARGET_GAME_TIME adjustment, accessable when the BALL_SAVE_TIME
adjustment is enabled.
TARGET_GAME_TIME enables a multi-use ball saver, whose duration is
dynamically calculated for each ball to help ensure the player has
a guaranteed amount of play time per game.
TARGET_GAME_TIME has a range of 1m 30s to 3m 00s and defaults to
NO_TARGET_TIME (disabled).
When disabled a traditional single-use BALL_SAVE_TIME ball saver will be
used for each ball in play.
When enabled the first ball of play will have a multi-use ball saver of
BALL_SAVE_TIME sec. The second ball will have a multi-use ball saver
which is 25% of (TARGET_GAME_TIME - player_game_time).
The third and beyond will have a multi-use ball saver which is 50% of
(TARGET_GAME_TIME - player_game_time).
- Updated 10 band graphic EQ to have 15 slider settings (was 120) above/below the
neutral center line.
- Rename Util->Volume->Speaker Balance to Speaker Fade. This adjusts the volume
levels of the cabinet (front) and backbox (back) speakers. The term Balance
was misleading and implied adjusting the level of the left and right backbox speakers.
- Added UTIL->VOL Adjustment "SELECT AUDIO FILTER". Values are:
"NONE", "HIGH/LOW SHELF", and "10 BAND EQ". Default value is "HIGH/LOW SHELF".
"NONE": No filtering will be performed on the audio output. Useful when using
the Line Out as input for an external device.
"HIGH/LOW SHELF": A High/Low Shelf Filter is applied to the audio output.
The Bass Frequency can be set to: 125Hz, 250Hz, or Disabled.
The Treble Frequency can be set to: 4KHz, 8KHz, or Disabled.
The Gain can be set to -12dB .. +12dB
On Spike 2 the Shelf Frequency and Gain can be set independently for the BackBox and Cabinet speakers.
"10 BAND EQ": A full 10 Band EQ is applied to the audio output.
Sliders are used to adjust the Gain of a specific range of frequencies.
The Frequencies are: 31Hz, 62Hz, 125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, 1KHz, 2KHz, 4KHz, 8KHz, 16KHz.
The Gain curve has a 60dB dynamic range across the -120 .. +120 Slider settings.
On Spike2 the Gain can be set independently for the BackBox and Cabinet speakers.
- Allow the knocker sound effect to play completely when a replay is
awarded during the last ball bonus and ensure the normal game
volume is restored.
- Added Standard Adjustment "MAX PLAYERS PER GAME". Values are 1 to 4,
with a default setting of 4. This can be used to limit the number
of players that can be added to a game.
- Using LEFT+START to end a game during bonus count could leave game graphics
on screen while in attract mode. This has been corrected.
- Added Service Menu selection UTIL->ENDGAME. This selection is only available
when there is an active game. When selected the operator will be prompted
to confirm that they wish to end the current game. Once confirmed and upon
exiting the Service Menu, the game will be in attract mode.
- Added Standard Adjustment "ALLOW LEFT+START TO END GAME". Values are:
"NEVER", "FREE PLAY ONLY", and "ALWAYS". Default value is "NEVER".
During an active game, if the LEFT FLIPPER+START BUTTONs are held for
two seconds, the game will be ended.
- Added Standard Audit "TOTAL PLAYS ENDED", which will track the number of times
a game is ended via the Service Menu or FLIPPER+START BUTTONs.
- Added Standard Adjustment "CREDIT FORMAT". Values are:
"ACTUAL FRACTION" and "REDUCED FRACTION". Default value is "REDUCED FRACTION".
For a USA coindoor when inserting three quarters:
"REDUCED FRACTION" would display "1/4", "1/2", "3/4"
"ACTUAL FRACTION" would display "1/4", "2/4", "3/4"
- Update Italian translation of "ENTER INITIALS" to "INSERISCI LE TUE INIZIALI"
- System V2.28:
- Updated to nodeboard firmware v0.48.0
- Added coin door interlock switch support for Spike2.

We wanted more high scores, we have a lot more high scores!

My only little grip about the new code is about the lack of backgound on the "enter your initals" screen.

Big up for the team for this code. It's plain of fun.
