Quoted from bwalter:Agreed. I really liked the light show during Disco Multiball and the challenge of watching the balls without the GI.
Something tells me they probably didn't want to do this but overwhelming complaints/comments turned the tide?
Default it to GI ON and provide an option for the owner to turn it OFF, like they did with the intense flashers in GOT... problem solved BOOM!
Quoted from sethi_i:I'm on the fence between this and BM66. Was leaning to DP, and this really ups the ante. I like that they put this at .99. Makes me think that there's still more to come, and it will get even better.
Sold my Batman to get DP. Great game, but just couldn’t hang with the tight orbit shots and not a fan of the crane. Code was insanely deep though.
DP shoots a million times better, and while not the deepest game, it has a superb variety of random modes that flow into each other... music, sounds and light show are also top notch.
DP feels basically done to me and I’d be fine with the content in place now. I’m not a fan of theme at all, but the design team did a great job with their interpretation of it.
OK new code is great.
The premium read me does state that GI stays on for disco multiball... but maybe that was an error. It did turn off for the loops, but I didn't get the multiball going to see what happens. LOVE that you can bring a single deadpool mode into a quest or battle... had a few modes going at once and it was friggin' awesome. Looks like some new light show things happening as well. This game is quickly becoming one of my favs
Quoted from Bond_Gadget_007:Hitting Snikt to ramp also locks a ball, so no need to shoot the fun right ramp which is kind of disappointing.
I can hit the fun ramp WAY easier than intentionally pulling off a Snikt shot. Also, there is no funner shot than doing a hard plunge and nailing the ramp on the skill shot... or getting a super jackpot in mechsuit multiball. Basically you still have to hit it a lot, even in modes, to make progress.
I can definitely see how the Snikt might nerf scoring for a really great player in competition though, but as somebody that can only just BARELY crack a billion in my basement I'm cool with whatever the final code ends up doing with it.
Quoted from oldmanpinball:so far this game has gone from OK to fantastic. i don't think meany people will be looking to sell.
do other people feel the same ???
Always thought it shot great, looked great, and sounded great.
The code has evolved to a basically perfect balance of stuff to do vs. being overly complex.
I absolutely love the stacking that naturally happens as the modes (there's a bunch of them!) roll into battles. The on screen graphics make for a very cohesive and unique experience, and ripping the spinners and orbits to progress through everything always feels great.
DP is by far the most fun I've ever had with a newer Stern, and I've been a pretty big fan of most of them! Big surprise for me.
Quoted from Eskaybee:That all said; I’m wondering how well a DP PREM would fit in my small lineup along side those 2.
Man, I’ve gone through tons of Sterns and pretty soon these will be the last 3 standing in my collection. DP is fast stupid fun and is the perfect compliment to the other two. I’d be totally cool with SW or Maiden in pro, but ripping the left orbit in DP premium over and over made the premium a must have to me. Pro is super fun too though so it’s a tough one, as it’s a pretty pricey upgrade.
The selfish part of me wants you to get a Woz so I can nerd out over your strategies, but I play DP 10x more than Woz and if one had to go it would be Woz in a heartbeat

The middle is a bit dark, so would absolutely benefit with a set of your pin stadiums. Maybe mirror blades? The other art blades are way less cool than the LE ones so hard pass for me. Only other thing I slapped on was a red translucent shooter rod and some invisiglass. Game is super vibrant and art is very loud in a good way, don't really see the need for much else. Enjoy! This game truly screams fun every time I play it and is one of my favorite modern Sterns.
Quoted from delt31:I was thinking stadiums but the striping on this game is atrocious. Maybe spots?
I don’t have anything on mine and honestly doesn’t bother me that much, the light show is killer and the ambience really makes it pop. I have disco modes set to basically turn off most GI and it’s still playable.
Deadflip premiered the diffuser last night and it looked really good. I’m not installing another set of those things until Scott releases them to the public, so over that stripe!
I went from a premium to a pro and I’m having the same, if not more, amount of fun. I’d pocket the 2k for something else!
Quoted from joelbob:Why do you think you are having more fun?
It’s faster with the stand up targets vs. drops and I like that it’s quicker to get disco multiball! Plus I missed it a lot
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:Hey guys. I'm considering a Deadpool Premium. Enjoyed it at my friend's house, but have very little time on it. Do you guys think Deadpool has legs like Metallica, Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, etc? I try to avoid pins that get old fast. Too repetitive, all flash, etc. Deadpool is flashy and sensory overload, kind of like the new GNR, but does it grab you and keep you coming back?
I'd say so. I've owned it in one shape or form for 3+ years. Had a premium when it came out, traded it for a grail game. Picked up a pro soon after after missing it, and recently bought a NIB premium last month and sold the pro. To me it's one of those games that never gets old no matter how many times I play it. Still have yet to beat it and I'm halfway decent... just keep the outlanes opened all the way and a steepish pitch and you're looking at years of fast stupid fun. I'm in love with the shots and the audio and code choreography is amazing. It's not super deep but has lots of stacking potential and side modes.
I kind of loved it the first time I played it, if it connects with you I'd say go for it. Easy enough to sell down the line, it's a well loved game and presume they will stop making them eventually.
