For what it’s worth, I flipped my lineup and brought in a JP Pro, Maiden LE, and Dead Pool LE.
Of the three, I think I like DP the best.
It’s such a fun shooter with straight forward rules. Love the music and call outs.
I bought Dead Pool on a hunch as my
Pinball buddies said it was awesome.
They were right on.
It’s an awesome pin!

Dumb question:
Big difference in play from code 1.0 to 1.02?
I updated today and don’t see a huge difference.
What an awesome pin, though.
Love it!

Can someone please lend me a hand with my DP LE?
I am the second owner and it didn’t boot when I first got it home.
I reset the nodes (phone cable looking hookups) not only under the PF but also in the back box and that seemed to work, though I still had to do it a few times now and again.
Now, that’s not working.
I can’t get it to boot but the backglass lights and speaker lights light up.
What should I be checking?
Thanks for the help.

So I messed around with all the connectors by the MPU and got her to fire up and play perfectly.
Wonder if the MPU is starting to go out?
I’ll call stern and report back.
In the meantime, what a game, huh?
First game back and I faced an enemy I’d never seen before.
Man I love this pin!

For Dead Pool, I believe it is recommended to keep pitch at 6.8/7.0 range.
I believe there is even a video with Gomez playing where he states this.
If you put the bubble of your pitch level right in the middle, you’ll be around 6.5 and the ball might float a little more than you’d like. The bubble on the pitch level should be more towards the top if you don’t have a digital level.
Mine has been in the 6.8/6.9 range and is a blast to play.

For most pins, the pro is the way to go and the premium/LE doesn’t add much value.
For DP, most guys agree that the Premium/LE is the way to go.
Plays totally different with left orbit bringing ball all the way around to right flipper versus the way the pro plays.

Quoted from imagamejunky:

I could not disagree with you more.
For 99.9% of the Sterns out there the premium is the way to go for home use. This is how the game designer intended the game to be. With all of the bells and whistles, all of the shots, all of the lighting, all of the toys, all of the features.
The pros are stripped down versions of the real game, intended to cost less and require less maintenance for an operator. They are "pinball lite".
Premium all the way!

That’s cool. I was trying to give an unbiased response that typically pros offer the most bang for your buck and that the value isn’t always there as you spend a lot more for the premium/LE.
This is also coming from me, who is turning into an LE snob
