Quoted from PinMonk:

You do get tracking with the freight company, and shipping is quick unless they don't have stock. Did the distributor tell you directly or are you getting all this second-hand? It doesn't take 3 weeks to ship from Chicago to Alabama.

Could the issue be that the distributor had to place a new order with Stern and this isn’t the most recent game so it takes a while to make? If so, any idea on how long that process is? I.e. if I place an order today with Stern, how long until it’s ready?

#4852 4 years ago

Seller says the game was shipped. Either it’s lost or it wasn’t shipped.

Quoted from maffewl:

it was shipped on 11/21. Still no word.

Quoted from jalpert:

Agreed that is what I was told, but more curious how long it takes for Stern to create one of these if ordered today. I'm hoping the "shipped" comment was correct and it's on its way, but my trading partner may have misunderstood.

Quoted from gliebig:

1. Is this as far as the protector goes?
2. Do these go around the little deadpool drop targets?[quoted image][quoted image]

Take a look at my photos here to see how you install the katana protector: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/deadpool-owners-club-free-chimichangas-for-all/page/79#post-5153735

Just loosen the post and push the protector back, then tighten.

Is there a fix or mod for preventing the ball from falling off the right return lane when I hit a nice Dazzler shot? It seems I can't ever get more than 4 or 5 shots in a row without the ball falling out (usually towards the middle of the playfield) as it comes down the katana sword.

Done. Now to figure out where the other two go

The bottom one without the screw holes looks like the drain protector? I don't recognize the top protector. The drain one just kind of snaps into the drain.

Stern doesn't make these onsie-twosie. They do them in batches, so if that IS the case, you'd be waiting until more Deadpool are on the line being made. No idea when that is. I'd get the name of the distributor and do some direct questions. Something isn't right.

That's where input the smaller one although it doesn't fit perfectly so not sure if that's it's intended spot. I think the other may go around little dp but not sure

#4862 4 years ago

I noticed there is no mylar on the bottom jet bumper so I cut a half circle for that. Also, the factory mylar was shifted probably 1/4 inch too far right so it wasn't really covering the left pop bumper skirt area. I added another half circle there which overlaps the existing mylar.

Here's a before picture. Hopefully you can see the faint line of curved mylar going through the ninja leg.

Stern makes these pieces too small and I have noticed on several of my games the mylar is not positioned correctly. The hardest wear area is where the ball hits the skirt, but sometimes that's the spot that isn't protected at all.

I’m thinking about buying an LE…are there any specific issues I should be aware of?

Quoted from Aniraf:

NIB or used?

#4866 4 years ago

Nope, no real concerns. Make sure you get your LE Vinyl album. The LE for Deadpool is a beautiful machine. The metallic flake in the orangey-red of the armor really looks awesome.

You want to put a protector on the right guide for the katana ramp entrance to the right of the Li'l Deadpool area ASAP, though. It tends to dig into the clearcoat.

#4867 4 years ago

What are the dimensions of the stern topper? I want to make sure it fits height wise.

Thanks.

Quoted from Aniraf:

I had an LE I bought NIB. No issues whatsoever. Had about 500 plays when I traded it. No issues with Katana ramp lock shot or entry (cliffy not needed), snikt target, drop targets. Everything worked great.

At their maximums 8" tall, 24 1/4" wide, 5 1/4" deep (including power terminal box or whatever it is)

Thank you for the info! Really appreciated!

I had issues with my dazzler spinner getting stuck crooked and it's never really felt right. I finally spent the time to look at it and all I did was bend the top metal bracket holding the spinner further down and WOW! It finally really spins and always stops straight upright. I can get dazzler disco mode going easily now and before this I only saw disco multiball once out of 1000 games. Feels like a new game now that it is playing perfect.

I have an issue with my left lil Deadpool drop target not always resetting in the up position properly. Becomes a real nuisance during T-Rex mode. Any tips or tricks for making an adjustment would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You mean it doesn't stay up when reset?

Two possibilities:
1. The plastic ledge "lip" is too far away from shelf that holds the target up because the target is warping/bending slightly from the ball hits. Stern's crappier target plastic bends over time now, I guess. Bend it back if it has a slight curve.
2. Thin plastic shelf that the target rests on when up has broken. This is unlikely if the problem is intermittent. However, Stern has cheaped out on these ledges, too. I never had seen a broken one on any pin ever until GoT broke like 6 months in. Took out the part and it's paper thin now. Another hidden cost-cut for a penny or two.

Nice. Thanks PinMonk - yes, it doesn’t stay up. Looks like I may have been on the right track as I actually did #1 a couple weeks ago and that seemed to do the trick, but just started acting up again so made the post to see what others did. I’ll look into bending it again, knowing that others have done that makes me feel better about actually doing that too

#4876 4 years ago

If anyone is interested, I made a few sets of these custom Deadpool coindoor magnets. Looks great on stock black or custom red powder coated machines. PM me or check my marketplace add. $10 each + shipping.

Guys I'm seeing some crazy behavior with the lights on the playfield...i mean all over the place, from the diamond x2,3,4,5 at the bottom, to the deadpool letters, to the top lanes, sometimes stuff lights up, then isn't lit, just weird behavior. Is this normal? Any suggestions??

With the Spike system, it can just be a connector needing to be reseated under the playfield. It's probably loose. Just reseat multiple connectors on the node boards.

It might just be an exceptionally weak/bendy drop target and replacing it and transferring the sticker might be the only long-term solution, though. You'll have to play it by ear.

I had the same issue, talked to my distributor, he had me unplug and plug in all the light harnesses on the node board, havent had the problem again

I finally finished my Deadpool topper. It's an 18 inch tall Deadpool figure that you can manipulate. I chose this pose so it's a low profile. Then I just used a light strip in front of him to light it up. I used heavy duty mounting tape on the bottom of his right foot and on his left shin. Then I anchored him to the back of the machine for safety(zip tied his leg down to an upside down 3M plastic hook). The detail on this Deadpool figure is absolutely amazing. It's like a work of art. This is a huge figure that really fits the top of the machine well and makes a statement. Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice. It's super badass!

Can someone please lend me a hand with my DP LE?
I am the second owner and it didn’t boot when I first got it home.
I reset the nodes (phone cable looking hookups) not only under the PF but also in the back box and that seemed to work, though I still had to do it a few times now and again.
Now, that’s not working.
I can’t get it to boot but the backglass lights and speaker lights light up.
What should I be checking?
Thanks for the help.

I haven't had any issues with my DP, so I haven't had to dive in too deep yet like most of my older pins.
Sounds like you have done the basics, I would recommend re-seating all cables and if that doesn't work, give Stern support a call.

Try a new SD card. You can download the image from the Stern website.

Try re-seating the SD card, but it sounds like you have an SD card fail. Buy a good-quality Sandisk or Samsung replacement and re-image it.

So I messed around with all the connectors by the MPU and got her to fire up and play perfectly.
Wonder if the MPU is starting to go out?
I’ll call stern and report back.
In the meantime, what a game, huh?
First game back and I faced an enemy I’d never seen before.
Man I love this pin!

Moving pins is always a crapshoot. One or more connectors may have come loose and you may not have a problem again now that you've reseated them.

Anyone have experience with PF protectors made by:

They are from Germany and use PET-G material that is 0.5 mm thick.

I hate playfield protectors. Just keep the game waxed and you'll be fine. The game will play better, too.

Someone mentioned in another thread the new playfield protectors from Germany are so thin that they don’t change how the ball rolls. I don’t know if that’s true or not but would appreciate your thoughts on it.

I’ve used them before and thought that they were great. It’s a hassle to strip the playfield down to be able to install, but a provided good piece of mind. There wasn’t any discernible difference in play. That said, I don’t see the need to buy one if the game is taken care of, but they are a good product and it’s a matter of personal preference.
