Never had issue with SAM or GoTLE Spike. This one has had me and my tech confused.
After hearing people saying their pro shipped with 1.03. You sure yours doesn’t have 1.03 and that’s why it doesn’t see an update?

It's Encyclopedia Nitroman to you.

Seems imprudent to jump in with this advice before the forensic report comes in.
Also, you're not describing how Spike updates work. But that's neither here nor there compared to the other thing.
Anyone know why the gate on the plunge is open without holding the left flipper button. After the plunge the machine tries to auto launch the ball on ball 2 and 3. Thoughts?
Any help is much appreciated.

if there is a new update I do not think it will bring big changes. Surely they will correct some scores and little more ..

I'm about to go play this game. Let me know if you want a picture of today's newspaper next to the loading screen.
Seriously, though, let's go ahead and stake this code thing to my very reputation on this site. The friend who sent me the picture not only wouldn't start a hoax or know how to use Photoshop, but also has no idea about the significance of 1.03 versus any other random number. So, I'm not being duped, and I promise I'm not duping anyone else.
I've reached out to Tanio on Twitter to try to get more info but haven't heard back.
Let's put this to rest, other than actually trying to figure out if anything is new in 1.03. OK, everyone?

Not sure what people think you have to gain. I'm also pretty sure some folks are just busting your chops. We assume DP will get a few more updates before it is code complete. Plus, the updates have been pretty regular, unlike GB.
Looks like most people would want to know if they have added any other high score tables.
Any chance it could be test code version from factory they forgot to convert back to latest released code?
Quoted from V_piscopo:Any chance it could be test code version from factory they forgot to convert back to latest released code?
well, if they‘re anything like Dialed In Electronics they‘re going to really want to have that code back!
Sorry, I’m lurking as I‘m not a member yet, but it‘s picking up momentum - I‘ve been listening to the soundtrack and reading the comics lately.
Code desperately needs 2 changes:
1. Fix the road block that doesn’t allow Starting a wizard mode when it’s qualified while One of the mini modes are running.
2. Add high score tables.

I don't have a lot of experience with this game, which is why I took a trip to play it today. I can report that 1.03 does not fix either of these things above.
Here's a video that shows the loading screen with the code number. The human hand at the end is just there for internal verification purposes only. Please ignore it.

Anyhow, I had a pretty good time playing it. The upper left gate seemed to work better than the one I played at Pintastic, which means I could start Sabretooth and bring in Lil' Deadpool MB and then let the balls drain for easy points. This was not possible on the copy I played at Pintastic, and I was starting to think that it was a setting or that the code did this automatically to make it harder. Guess not.
I put up a couple OK games, including one around 600 million. Not quite enough to take down the GC, sadly. It was a good time, but I'm on board with the camp that says that you need both luck and skill to make the right ramp. That tough geometry and the the Lil' Deadpool space being 99% unused after the first multiball are the big downsides for me. This was in a dark bar, so it was hard to see at times. But that's a fixable problem.

One thing to look for is to see if the spacing on the 1's on the mystery and match wheels are still weird. If the kernining is ok now, it's definitely different. Just take a picture of any match wheel with 1s on it.

Li'l Deadpool's target is massively used in the T-Rex quest to finish it. You have to hit it over and over.

It’s used a bunch in Megakrakoladonus Rex too. Coded nicely actually.

Good to know. I got to T-Rex, but I feel like I shot other stuff to finish it.

Sorry, I probably won't be back to play it any time soon -- unless the operator decides to update his GOTG to code newer than the early release version that's on there now.

The Mini Deadpool area will give you a pretty useless Frenzy mode after the multiball but the third mode is what you want. If you complete the third mode (I think it is called bounce) it will give you a playfield multiplier for the remainder of the current ball you are on. if you manage to get 100 weapons and this on same ball you could potentially get a 3x playfield for an entire ball which will open it right up for some huge scoring.
That area is also used quite a bit in the wizard modes too as well with the previously mentioned T-Rex quest.
Yeah, the other day on location I got to Megakrakoladonus Rex for the first time. Reminded me a little bit of Iron Throne on GOT. It didn't really play out like Iron Throne, but was similar in that if you drain out and still have more balls to play, you are still in the mode at the beginning of your next ball. Anyway, after some good progress in the mode, the Lil DP area stayed open for big points like 12m, 27M, and 60M for a single hit.
Bumped my table up to 7 degrees last week just to see what happens. It's incredibly fast for me.
Also tuned the slings and bumpers and waxed the playfeild, what a difference.
Thinking about joining the club with a pro.
How does the code stack up now? I have an iron maiden and love it. I think dead pool is a little easier than maiden?
Do the callouts get old after while?
I think do holds up feel. Doesn't get old. About same difficulty level as iron maiden. Code is pretty good, not the deepest game. I suspect they will have another code update this summer

Sheesh some people on here take things to serious...
Anyway. I wouldn't expect 1.03 to be that big of a change. Since Stern hasn't released it to public yet. It´s most likely just an updated system version to support the recently added interlock switch.

I have now played many games on a Deadpool pro and I can officially say that I need this game in my collection. That being said, I need to find a premium, because I assume from what I've read that it's worth considering even though the art on the pro is the best in my opinion. That katana lock/multiball shot is so very awesome...heck, they all are.

For Deadpool, Premium is the one to get, hands down. You can put the pro translite on it for $77 if you want, and that's all you really look at anyway.

Funny enough, you know me well...I have been looking for a pro translite ahead of time, haha.

Super happy with my pro... is the premium better.. maybe some.... but the pro is really good especially for the cost difference. Its one my favorites along with met pro....

I prefer the pro especially for the price always felt like the premium/LE makes the game play easier.

Pinball life will special order the pro translite for you, and that's where I got the $77 price. It was the cheapest around at the time I got it.

The Premium deadpool is one of the few where the cost difference is absolutely worth it. Drop targets, extra ramp, extra mode, disco ball, etc make a huge difference in the gameplay experience.

were happy and love our pro.... played premium/le and i do like the up down ramp but the pro is a dang fun pin and plenty sufficient . A good deal came up on a basically new modded pro so i jumped on it and happy i did. Now the 2k+ i saved is getting me a heavily modded jjp potcle tomorrow......
well, i got an LE. worth the price difference? probably not. but the disco ball is cool and the diverter so make the game smoother. i can see without the diverter the game slowing down a little. of course, i can see how somebody would go for the pro over the premium/le. i have on other games.
Don't Own one but played one at a bar.... Very loud ... In Portland Maine and absolutey thought it was great. It was a premium

Mine is an LE and had original 0.98 code
New SD card has been sent from my distributor and all sorted now. Very impressed with the additions in the new code. Got a GC first game with it.
Ok so I've adjusted the height a little higher and I can get that blade right ramp shot to work very well but it doesn't appear to be 100 consistent. Meaning I can hit the ball the same way and the same location (I think) and it goes up 8 out of 10. It's annoying to miss the last two for what appears to be not my doing.
Any trick to get this to be 100% or is that just how DP is? I heard its kind of clunky but I'm very close....I can even hit super skills off a fast ball

Think it’s a design thing. I’ve waxed and polished playfield and ramps and mine is probably 80-85% shots now go all the way into Katana. Before it was prob50/50

ok that makes me feel a little better. It's such a nice shot when it works but even that 20% or so is starting to get on my nerves a little.

There are two key posts about the katana. Check out posts #270 and #2647. Both involve a little bending.

You are not actually hitting the shot the same way.
I have done many slow motion videos to get mine 100% dialed in and to my surprise, what I thought were 100% consistent shots on my end were not! Video does not lie...
80%+ is dialed in is good.
