Quoted from punkin:

Also a must have is some kind of playfield lighting in the middle. I went pinstadiums initially (it was my first pinball) but wouldn't use them again.
Comet sells a double spotlight kit for deadpool that mounts on each sling. Some have installed trough lights to lit the area above the flippers too, ut i like the sling spots.
While you are in the comet shop, grab the led kit for DP and change out the GI on the bottom 2/3rds of the playfield to cool white, it makes it better without so much red.

I see a GI general illumination kit on their site but it has frosted sunlight. Did you just piece an order together? I've never seen pinstadiums in person and was planning that but this option looks way more affordable.

I have pin stadium lights on all my games they are fantastic. I just picked up my Deadpool Saturday and I’m ordering a set neon atoms for it I don’t care for the fusion ones myself. The atoms I set to bring out the colors and there’s no dark spots and that’s all u really need.they really make the game pop show off the beautiful art work in my opinion.

Honestly frosted sunlight better than cool white. But I like warm white on all my games, especially with a lot of warm tones...like Deadpool. Closer to incandescent to give it a more cozy, retro vibe (fits the "arcade game" subtheme imo).

Sorry, was working on memory and it's been a lot of beers since i did it.

Frosted it would be. Pretty sure there is a little stick on trough light that i bought at the same time too.

I got the double spots for the slings, but i have read others say they are happy with the singles.

I appreciate everyone's replies.

Lot's of choices ahead. At least I have some time before my pro ships in November. Just trying to get ready. That middle PF area is a little dark in all 3 location pros ive played.

My Lil Deadpool bash toy's head fell off. I tried to glue it back on but it keeps falling off. I can't find a replacement anywhere but have emailed Stern. Anyone dealt with this issue and know where I can find a replacement?

The head hasn’t fallen off of mine but the torso and upward has fallen off the legs. Has anyone had that problem before?

Are you using super glue? Use an epoxy or a glue with a spray on hardener/agent and it won’t come off again.

Google or eBay search deadpool money bank bust L, you should be able to pick one up for 10-15 bucks, just cut the bottoms off and your good to go.

I just picked up a nice used Deadpool.

I like to pick up spares of custom parts that might be difficult to find down the line.

Is there anywhere you can purchase the custom pop bumper skirt behind the snikt target? Mine looks fine for now but will eventually chip like they all do.

3000 games on my mates pro and 1100 on my premium no issues with the pop skirts on either.

Take a regular skirt and cut it with a scroll saw or even diagonal pliers.

Funko Pop figures fit perfectly. There are several Deadpool versions if you want to go that route. I've been using the DinoPool one for a few years now.

Think I have narrowed down my next game to a Deadpool premium or EHOH. Anyone have both or considerable time on each care to weight in. I have been able to play a Deadpool Pro a handful of times (I did enjoy it) but unable to find a EHOH in the wild near me.

Both are fun and you won't go wrong no matter which you choose. DP has a couple of shots that are worthy of praise, however...the SNIKT and Ninjapocolypse. Two of my favorite shots in all pinball.

I would go Deadpool Pro over EHOH. Both are great games but I feel any model of Deadpool is a little better.

#14919 3 months ago

Own both games. That’s a hard choice imho. I go back and forth picking one over the other. For now, Deadpool has a slight edge for the geometry of Gomez, it’s more interesting to shoot. The code on both is excellent.

I love my Deadpool pro absolutely great pin.
Elvira is a dream pin for me u can’t go wrong with either one.

Pulling the trigger on a DP premium. Picking it up tomorrow morning. Thanks for the input!

#14922 3 months ago

Think you made the right choice there. I have both - very hard to choose a favourite out of the two, but I'd very possibly just about give DP the edge. Also, I'd say when people come over, Deadpool is always the most popular game. I can't think of a single criticism for it, and for me it's like IMDN - bordering on pinball perfection, and a stone cold classic Stern.

Just picked up May 2022 premium build with about 260 plays on it. Loving it so far! I do seem to be getting quite a few rejects from the mode scoop. Is this typical? Is there a recommended fix? Thanks!

I didn't start getting rejects until the scoop protector split on my DP. Replaced with a Cliffy and have been good for ~5000 plays.

I have heard people suggest bending the scoop forward to help with rejects. You might also want to try loosing the screws that hold the scoop and turning it slightly to change the position. There are 2 screws on the top of the playfield and I think 1 under that can be loosened to help adjust this.

My scoop can be tricky sometimes and I find after repeated play the mouth drifts slightly to the right. If I loosen those screws and turn it back to the middle, and we're talking millimeters here as there is very little wiggle room, it can make it easier to hit.

Hey everyone, wanted to preview my next wooden sign coming out soon. Some have purchased my Mando and GZ signs already and can attest to the quality and workmanship that goes into each. The DP sign will have three layers of wood and we will likely raise the swords off the surface for a nice 3d effect. I have attached some photos of GZ and Mando so you can see the raised features.

If you are interested in getting in on the preorder list, please PM me. Estimated size will be 18 x 29 inches. Thanks very much.

It may behoove you to take a minute looking at the photo gallery for the pins, or maybe even watching some videos, before you design a sign for it. An hour or two of effort but you may sell a few more signs. You'd catch stuff like "oh, the Godzilla on this pinball machine is the goofy looking one from the 50s, and not this super intense looking silhouette that came up in the first Google result" or "Deadpool doesn't have a hole in his mask for the nose"

Hello everyone, just joined the club and can’t get the code to update. I am using a blank FAT32 usb flash drive and following the instructions on the backbox but the update is not running on power up. I am trying to install 1.09 and it is currently at 1.0. Any tips?
EDIT: got it after watching a YouTube video, sterns website instructions were confusing.

Are you using a super glue from your supermarket to fix it? If so that’s likely your problem, go for an expoxy resin or pop to your local hardware store and grab a glue with an activator.

I’ve repaired two Deadpool bobble heads and neither have come apart again using the below.

Anyone else experiencing these two issues and know of how I should go about repairing/resolving them?

1. Some smashing on the end of the rail leading into the kitana ramp. Thought about maybe the blue rubber has flexed outward but it's still pretty straight, wondering if flipping it would help prevent impact. Best method for smoothing out the rail so it's not damaging balls?

2. Very large dimples directly underneath Lil' Deadpool, wondering if its balls hitting the drop targets, bouncing up and off the plastics back into the playfield. Assuming no repair on this, more curious if anyone else has this.

Decided to ping Stern about my post above, this was their response:

1. Nothing can be done about the ball hitting the guide, it's designed to be much softer steel so it won't damage the ball, and after awhile the 'edge will smooth out and be less noticeable.'
2. The heavy/very large dimpling is normal.

I have the exact same issues on mine. You'll probably notice similar wear on the ball guide on the left ramp as well after extended use.

For your Katana ball guide you may want to look up the "washer fix" for that in this thread. I can see they removed the art/colour under the entire guide but unless it is lifted off of the playfield it could start digging into the clear and worst case cause chipping. Personal preference though, if you aren't having any wear issues perhaps not needed.

You can take a metal file and carefully smooth out the guide. I would say it’s more important on the exit end of the guide so the ball can make it up the katana ramp. I replaced the blue rubber but found that the stock stern rubber was much stiffer so I swapped it back.

I just got a pro and there was a mezel mod handle and a stern handle in cabinet. Then the why not kicked in. I need to get inserts to add the blue rubber blockers on the front edges and make a bracket to connect katana blade to handle. I made a 180 looping ramp and the optos are installed and functioning. Heres some pictures and a quick video. We are not sure if we are going to offer it as a mod (loganpinball.com). We took the business off pinside but kept opinballbuyer to sell or buy machines. I am showing some of the mods in the owners forums. The progress and updates on this will be on instagram Loganpinball and loganpinball.com.
I have limited my time on this forum for my mental health, but I will show everything going forward on instagram, youtube and my website. This was just a post to show owners a katana mod and if you are interested please email [email protected]. If there is enough interest we would produce them. The handle from mezel mods is $70 alone. Looking for alternative, but just realize this is a good amount of material and labor to make.
Thanks for reading and have a great day.

No, not many issues at all. Mostly maintenance items - I keep it cleaned and replace the balls (Ninja's) around every 500 or so plays when they get duller.

I have had to replace the Hell House scoop switch twice and the scoop protector once with a Cliffy.

I totally rebuilt the flippers at ~5,000 plays and I do run my DIY flipper coil fans.

Great game and has been very reliable.

That's cool! I actually really love the factory red wireform on the premium - but that extra sword kinda ties in with the playfield artwork/inserts of DPs dual katanas.
