Bummer, just heard from Distro today...DP Premium bumped to Late summer '22 July/August + $1000 price hike, no grandfather on old deposit price most likely...
Well crap...still getting it...just sucks

This makes me feel a little less like a sucker for buying one a month ago for $8700

#11402 2 years ago
Quoted from Lucxor:

This was also my first thoughts.
But I don't think it would bother me if I can't do this anymore. The bigger question for me is to change so much on the pinball. I think if this is done there is no going back.(without buying a new playfield)

Someone in the group here has put a one-way gate on the shooter lane so balls can't fall back into it.

Doesn't really bother me when it happens, since it's fairly rare.

Nice pick up!!…that strap makes me cringe though. You’re a lot more brave then me with the cab art

#11406 2 years ago

Can anyone tell me what these are? Are they just collectible items? Or are they something that could be utilized with the game?

This stickers are for targets and spinners. The plastic discs are for your keys if you choose to tag them.

Yellow cards are pretty obvious, pricing if you have this setup for coin drop.

You should check out the apron card thread, there are some really nice ones for DP. Either colour print or print on photo paper (send to a lab) and they look great!

I never really thought about that. I’ve never had any issues in the past. However, you’ve got me thinking. I think I use plastic wrap going forward

Or just put cardboard on the tight edges to help protect the high friction areas.

That prem artwork is so dang nice!

The ball falling back into the shooter lane is part of the game. If it gets autoplunged and you can re-get the skill shot. ninjapocolypse

I do agree. The premium is my favorite Deadpool side art. The only reason it’s not on the end is because I’m selling the AIQ

I personally would remove the leg protectors. They tend to damage cabinet decals more than. Protect them in my experience.

With the stern metal leg brackets, they actually sit off of the cab by like 1/8 inch. They are purely cosmetic at that point but personally that gap drives me nuts….

Not the clearest OP ever, but for those waiting on new DPs.... might want to check with your distros.

I don't feel this is new info. We've been hearing in this thread for the last little while that machines originally planned for late 2021 are being pushed to summer 22.

Seems like the OPs distro/dealer was late to get the memo.

Yeah - after posting it I realized it was the same news form a few weeks back. Another brick in the wall of me feeling really good about buying last Spring. Man. Can't believe I thought waiting from Feb to May was rough.

After moving about 100 machines I learned that if you are careful with the straps they won’t hurt anything. I used to be crazy overprotective but now just a strap and let’s go.

So I see Cointaker is doing pre orders for the topper. Is this something that is going to be in short supply and I should order now? My Deadpool got pushed to July / August. Any idea when the toppers are being built?

Does DP in fact have any kind of Midnight Madness mode?
Thanks

I don't get the whole chimi thing on this game? How did I start it and what is it for?

It sure does seem like a waste to be one of the things the game keeps track of...

Chimis are what light the Quest(s). 3 chimis lights the Quest at the scoop. Fight T-Rex or Megladon.

Explain this guys....in battles,
I thought the only thing that progressed you toward winning the battles was to hit, the lit shots. On more than one occasion, I've had a battle completed while I'm not hitting of of the lit progression shots. If this is intended functionality in the code, then could someone explain it please? Thanks

damage inside the Pop bumpers. Also if your in a team up, you may be getting more damage on them than you think for that also.

Hey all, when I shoot the right orbit under the sword, what is my ball hitting and slowing down from time to time? The very bottom of the sword? Should I raise it a couple washers or something?

I believe ALL shots inflict damage during a Battle, just a minor amount unless it's a lit shot and even more if a Team-up shot.

Quoted from awesome1:

Right. I think its switch hits. Pops do more damage than say a spinner though unless the spinner is lit.

Could it be the little mini-guide? See below from 3y ago:

Quoted from alxpier:

On my pro model, right orbit shot was not smooth. Balls keep on hitting the metal guide and shooter lane.
I removed this and everything is back to normal : smooth shots for Sabretooth (and others)
Don't know if this part is usefull on a premium or LE.[quoted image][quoted image]

Quoted from Mahoyvan:

Alright so I took my right orbit mini-guide off and here's my thoughts.
- Pretty simple to do. Unbolt the nuts from the bottom and take off the two philips screws that hold the sword blade down. You'll need to take the handle plastic off which requires removing 2 pretty small philips screws. Be carful to not snap it as the east side of the handle is clipped on... From there you have your last philips screw. You can then lift the whole sword enough to get the mini-guide out.
- The shots feel much smoother than before. I like!
(I think my shots would hit the right guide near the DP arrow, then hit the mini-guide, then hit the right orbit. Which would result in a rough-feeling shot.)
- A few shots would hit the post above where that mini-guide was then hard bounce down the shooter lane - I don't like...
- When the ball would come out of the pops on the right side, my game would normally bounce off the edge of the orbit, cross the PF and land on the left flipper. Now, more times than not, it will come straight down on top of the right slingshot. I don't like this because now it's a nudging game and who knows where that ball is going next.
All in all I think I like the reliability of the bounce over to my left flipper from the pops more than the smoother feel to a right orbit shot. I'll probably put the mini-guide back in when I get around to it.

Quoted from Purdue:

Thanks! Thats the one i ordered yesterday. Took the switch out and it had the part number printed on it. Nice because my stern microswitch search results weren't showing this one on pinballlife or marco.

So update here... soldered on the replacement micro switch from PBL and wallah. It worked great... for a day.

Then (now) switch works a couple times when the game is first fired up. And promptly goes dead. Same for switch test. Turn the game on drop a ball in the scoop and it works great for a little bit then nada.

Anybody have any ideas? Bad replacement switch?? I was careful to not get the switch hot when soldering but idk.

If it's acting intermittent - have you tried adjusting the arm that actuates the switch to insure full contact when depressed?

And also check wiring/continuity back as far as you can. If it goes to a connector somewhere, make sure its seated well.
