Always inspect the box and machine before signing for the delivery.

#9552 2 years ago

I would ask for two new graphics

I’d then cut a piece a bit larger than the damaged area and just glue it on top. Then keep the other one for future peace of mind...

#9553 2 years ago
Quoted from Da-Shaker:

I'd be pissed. I don't think installing new graphics is a walk in the park either. If it's gauged, you may need wood filler. I would try to return it.

Yeah, that’s the direction I’m probably headed. A shame because premiums are out of stock and the next production run isn’t for a while. My GNR preorder might actually arrive before I get into this club

#9554 2 years ago
Quoted from Da-Shaker:

Ironically both me and the guy who did the white glove delivery missed that area. I was so focused on checking the back box (since it’s the widest part), the playfield, and checking for any signs of stress fractures inside the cabinet that we both missed this damage near the bottom. The poor lighting in my arcade room and the fact that the damage is in a busier area of the art probably didn’t help.

Lesson learned, next time I’m going over every square inch with a flashlight.

Quoted from Da-Shaker:

I switch all the wires to the inputs with no change. Ill probably just deal with back feed for 30 seconds and turn on all the games. This leads me to another question. I thought you could hook 4 pins to the subwoofer. How do you connect them with only 2 inputs?

That's too bad. Going to low level RCA inputs would probably get rid of the feedback in your case.

I think you would need a special board to allow more than 2 pins per sub. I think someone linked to one earlier.

Seriously man - keep it and enjoy it. Stern is providing replacement decals which is the right thing to do.

Having to wait 6+ months on a replacement isn’t worth it!

This conversation is reminding me that someone on this thread asked me to look into creating a plastic protector for the Lil Deadpool area.
To the Pinsider that made this request, my apologies as I recently had surgery and was not able to take that piece off. I believe I should be good now to take a look at that this weekend.

That was me @maffewl, Keep me posted please, mine is in pieces and taped together, except the missing pieces...

Lil' DP multiball question....

Seeing some behavior that I don't remember seeing previously, though I could be dead wrong.

Start of the game - hit a few lil' deadpool targets to drop them. Once at least one is dropped, the large circular insert flashes it's bluishgreen color. Hitting the Lil' DP standup turns the light green. Hitting it a second time traps up the ball and Lil' DP MB starts.

Have had the following happen a few times though. Say you drop the left and center drop. Insert starts flashing. Ball then hits the Lil' DP target and turns it green, but the ball comes to rest behind the right drop that is still up. Also covering the opto.

I would swear the game would normally just cycle the drops at this time to eject the ball - like the first two times in this video.

But mine is now just starting Lil' DP MB without ever hitting the stand up a second time - the third time through on the video. Any game adjustments with regards to Lil' DP settings are stock - haven't touched any of them since setting the game up when it arrived.

Am I absolutely misremembering? Anyone care to test this out? I'm getting Lil' DP multiballs basically auto starting on me before I want them to and it's getting annoying.

I am pretty sure that is normal. Funny because yesterday I noticed mine was doing the same thing and I had the exact same question you did. Unless both our machines are doing it wrong

Comforting response since it points at it being normal, but that's annoying. The game clearly has the ability to clear it out of there without starting the MB.

Moral of the story I guess is if you care about taking LDMB into a battle - make sure you're dropping that right target.

My distro just replied (on a Saturday evening, dang it’s great having a good distributor!). Going to get a replacement graphic. Now just need to find someone who can replace the art professionally. Installing art blades is the furthest I’ll trust my skills.

Look in the mirror and tell yourself you found the guy. It isnt as hard as people make you believe.

Disco Multiball? WTF???

A friend of mine was over my house on Saturday and mentioned Disco Multiball. He said you get it from the left spinner. I've been doing a "Journey of discovery" on DP, so I've avoided reading any rules not shown by the machine. So I tried to get it, and it was completely impossible to qualify or start. So I took the glass off and spun the left spinner by hand. Each full rip of my spinner was only taking the number on the screen down by one to three spins. I ended up fully qualifying it by hand, and then put the glass back on. I still couldn't start it.

My left spinner was messed up from the start. It was only registering a couple of hits as the spinner slowed down. After taking off the plastic it was obvious that the crank of the spinner was barely touching the actuator of the microswitch as it completed a spin. It was a 10 second adjustment to fix it.

So all of a sudden a game that I am really liking became even better with more stuff!

It’s a fun mode!

Sometimes these new pins require adjustments. Don’t live with it. if you ever have issues on any pin go to the owners thread and ask how to correct it. Someone has most likely had the same issue and can help share how it was corrected.

The top of the ramp has deadpool in a hammock.

I'm starting to get some marking on my playfield around the upper right orbit due to ball plunges, in particular across the yellow BAM! rollover letters.

Elbow grease with a micro fibre and either some alcohol or Novus 2 doesn't seem to be doing much. How should I tackle this? Would a magic eraser help?

I'm just a noob at this, but maybe place some mylar there after cleaning it with Novus 1 and alcohol? That won't do a lot for the current markings, but could prevent future wear.

In case anyone wants more photos of the Snikt target straight from the factory, here’s mine with 0 home plays so far.

That was the funny part. I'm intentionally only learning Deadpool through playing it. I've actively avoided reading any rules yet. Plus the spinner would register a couple hits, so it seemed normal playing it. I just didn't know it was supposed to do anything

I've been doing the same with Avengers, but I've learned more about that one from playing games with other people.

The horizontal plastic above BAM! gives to the optical illusion of marks being there that aren't actually, so check that first.

If there is actually marks, no harm using a magic eraser on clearcoated playfields.

Anyone know whether these screens in disco multiball are random or if you do something to cause it? I know Dazzler comes out and lights up the room melting the vampires, but am unsure what causes her to do that. Thanks.

Not that my damaged cabinet drama is all that interesting, but I want to give a big shoutout to Aaron at Gameroom Goodies. Besides responding to me on a Saturday night, he already checked with local specialists to see if anyone could sand down and refinish the cab. In the end, he's working with Stern to hook me up with a replacement cabinet body and then I'll transfer everything (PF, backbox, etc.) into the new one when it arrives.

That’s good he is taking care of you. I know he got a lot of heat for price gouging on the mandalorion le if this is the same place. It turned a lot of people off from buying from him so nice to see good press

I took a slo mo of my DP Prem firing the ball from the scoop on to the wrong part of the right flipper. Any idea how to fix this?

#9580 2 years ago

I understand the angst over GRG raising LE prices. Even the prem is priced a bit higher than some other sellers, but I still pre-ordered my prem Mandalorian from him due to the service. Plus, he has a great delivery guy in my area and it's been hard to find good delivery people out here.

You can reduce the coil power.

Wow. Mine is not as angled as yours. Meaning not aiming at the flippers as much. I tried to turn it but could not. Here’s a pic of mine. I bet it’s easier to hit the snikt on yours.

Does anyone know a trick to turn/adjust this target if there is no play on the mounted bracket?

Nice! Tip: In the feature adjustments, turn off the random music selection so it plays the default music, best sound track ever to what I believe is one of the best side objective modes in any pin.

Premium/LEs come with the wolverine and dazzler figures, are there any colossus and dominos figures that match the artwork and the wolverine and dazzler figures?

If I had a prem the first thing I would do is switch out the happy meal figures for the plastics (they are in the bag)

Just joined the club with a Pro! Done playing the ragged out location game locally.....

So what’s the consensus angle for this game to get the upper ramp cross shot flowing well? I am getting a lot of bricks into the scoop side so far.

Gomez recommended ~7 degrees. You could start there and then adjust since every copy will play a bit differently.

If changing the slope doesn’t fix it for you, then check the ball guide exiting from behind Lil’ Deadpool. Someone earlier in this thread solved their brick shots by slightly bending the guide at the exit.

Also, does anyone know if theres a way to buy the premium chimi truck so I can put it in my pro?

Modfather pinball mods has the deadpool hammock. They have a chimi truck as well.

I searched the internet and found the same little Deadpool figure for $0.50. I think the hammock was able to be found pretty cheap as well. Just need to search the web.

If you swap out the premium figures for the plastic ones. You will lose the spotlights attached to each of the figures via a hidden bracket, zipped tied to there back side.

These spotlights are specifically there to light up the disco ball during that mod.

Yeah thats kind of what I was looking for. All modfathers mods are just normal things you can buy and then he adds like 75% markup on them. The chimi truck wouldn't match the game at all. Hoping I can find an official stern chimi truck somehow. I was thinking of trying the funkopop deadpool chimi truck but the red one is a limited edition and goes for decent money and I'm not sure if the size would be right. It might be too big.

The truck modfather sells looks a lot like the Hot Wheels Chimi Truck, which can be had for less than $20 for sure, but he's added a light and I'm guessing a bracket somewhere, included instructions on how to install it, pays his web hosting fees and paypal fees... without a doubt there is some margin left for him (And I'm guessing it is well north of 75%) but I don't think any of the mod makers are getting rich and if you want something plug and play they offer that service.

With that said, did you reach out to stern directly to see if they'd supply you the part? You may have to buy the entire assembly... part no. 511-1994-00 according to the manual.

Based on comments long ago in this thread, I think your target is a lot closer to what Gomez intended. My target might be easier to hit, but I'm not sure yet if it'll have the same success rate up the ramp since it's at a different angle. Hoping to get my playfield fully setup by this weekend to try it out

You will need to order it through an authorized reseller, Stern will not sell it direct. Just a heads up, you will need to order the decal set too...the truck will arrive naked.

The hammock is made by Playmobil, easy to find on Ebay. Then just add the DP magnet character from AliExpress or other site. Should be around $10 for everything including shipping.
