I did full update and check file (or similar... this was my first time ever updating a Stern) and everything went smooth and all my high scores and settings remained.

Happy to see other bugs fixed as well. Was just playing and with ball save going it didn’t use up my regenerate like it used to. Thank you Tanio!

Looks like enough in 1.04 to switch back out from the custom audio SD to the factory and update it. Who knows if the custom audio software will be updated to 1.04.

Don’t think I like the new disco multiball music, And swapping the old music and putting it on disco loops. Might be a job for pinball browser!

Digging the additional music and call outs. Think they really polished the game with this.

I wish they make Mechsuit worth something in the game more than points, but not a big deal.

I think I found a bug in the audio... Anyone else notice that music occasionally stops, and then abruptly starts when going from one song to another? Like being in the regular play, and then moving to Sauron MB.

Hooray for the new code! The DJ mixer is really sweet. I hope they can do this for other games. Especially those with great music like BM66 and IMDN.

Yes there's def a hesitation that wasnt there before. I also noticed they added a big DEADPOOL banner while booting. Pretty sure that wasnt there before

Unrelated to the code update....

This is only my second new Stern...
Do these have a WMS/Bally-type attract mode
Where the machine will play music or
Talk on it's own in attract mode?

I know there's a setting for the attract mode video to play....

No music. Callouts onlywhen one hits the flippers after a specific amount of time.

Agree. I loved the "old" disco multiball music. The new one is terrible.
But the new "Tyroler" Katanarama music I really like.

Man, playing some of the new code tonight and it’s just depressing me. That new music for disco multiball is atrocious. One of the coolest multi balls ever turned into one of the worst overnight

Doing a little fishing. The DJ mixer still has the good disco mb music labeled as disco multiball, so I’m hoping it’s a bug or F* up that this god awful new disco mb music got put into the game. Hope Tanio or someone at stern is reading this and that song was not meant to replace the real disco song.

Yeah I’m with you Eskaybee . Just played a quick couple games shooting only left orbit and I’m not a fan. Not sure why this was changed, as I agree, it was my favorite multiball of all my current games.

Fixed my only complaint with Deadpool. Added spotlights and a trough light from Comet. I saw this from a couple years ago in the thread and it really makes a difference!

You sure? Disco loops is the same but I swear disco multiball is different. I think...I have been drinking for a bit.

I have an LE and just played again and it’s definitely different. The readme.txt file with the code shows 3 new Disco songs added on the LE. Maybe the three songs cycle? Sounds like 70s porn music which I usually love.

Ugh complete garbage. I’ve only got disco multiball twice with new code. And both times was some steamy pile of low energy Sunday driving put me to sleep music. Seriously, just wanted to turn off my game and walk away. Maybe there’s a hidden setting somewhere to fix it.

It's definitely cycling the three songs. I just went through all three, I thought I was losing my mind for a second. First game was the OG disco song, next two games were the songs I've never heard before, and just now I got the original song again.

Also, don’t know if this is coincidence or not, but just tried a game in competition mode and it played the OG song. Maybe gotta play in competition from here on out?

The new code has same bugs. I own the LE. Modes (Mystic, Sabertooth, T-rex....) don't always start after shooting and selecting.... Anyone else same findings?

My only little grip about the new code is about the lack of backgound on the "enter your initals" screen.

Big up for the team for this code. It's plain of fun.

I don't post much, but the new code update inspired a de-lurk.

I LOVE the new code, and appreciate that Stern continues to polish and improve an already outstanding pin. This firmware update was impressive enough for me to boost my existing high rating for this machine. Tremendous work, Stern—thank you.

I did notice something odd that is worth mentioning. A few games after the update, I heard the VUK fire a few times in a row while the ball was in play, then a message flashed on the screen for a few seconds indicating a VUK failure. With the ball still active on the playfield, the machine then began a ball search. Shortly after the ball search started, all the remaining balls began to fire out into the shooter lane in rapid succession. At that point I power cycled the machine, and all seemed well after that (we played about another 10 games or so). I also physically examined the the VUK, and it looks fine (we've had one break in the past).

This glitch might have been a coincidence, but after nearly 10,000 games played I've never seen anything like that happen before.

For reference, I did a quick code update with a check (my usual method), and everything seemed to go well. Perhaps I'll do a full update today. Can't hurt.

Hopefully it was a one-off, but thought I'd bring it up here just in case anyone else experiences something similar.

With the new code I notice that when you plunge the ball, it doesn’t make it to the top roll overs but does make it to the top switch, it’ll start chimichanga

Most important update int he new code that no one is talking about...you can now use single booms when you get a Super Boom. This had always drove me crazy because you were essentially penalized when you got a Super Boom and could not use them individually against Megladon for example. Nice and important update!

Wouldn’t a super boom spot you multiple shots in a mode?

I think it only grants you the one red shot, plus the others. Great for points, not so much for progression.

I used the new boom feature with mystique last night. Worked great for the first shot to wolverine with the ball on right flipper.

Installed the new code. I love it. More call outs, and interaction from Deadpool and the narrator. I just put my best game up by over double. Never made it to Mr Sinister before, but was able to beat him. This game is freaking fantastic. Stern home run as far as I am concerned.

I'm looking forward to downloading the new code. For those who have played a fair number of games, would you say the update is rather substantive? Based on the posts I'm reading there seems to be quite a bit it offers. Bravo, Stern!

Yeah for progression the super boom kinda stunk because for Megladon for example you would only get one "hit" on him while still getting points for the blue lances. But with the new option you can space out your 4 booms to hit him 4 times. Same concept for bosses.

I haven't had much time to play the new code yet and just finished getting my Elvira back together today. You're usually not so vocal about such things so if you're complaining, I will assume it must be bad The solution is probably a game setting where you can choose the song or set it random for the mode. I think Lyman did something similar in Metallica.

Not in the readme, but there's adjustable ball eject power. Thanks Tanio!

High score entry would have looked good with some kind of background if possible.

Did the weapon count get fixed? That's where the weapon count value is shown and doesn't include the new weapons you get.

It restarts at 150, 250 etc...Still starts at 45
