Oh so close... just missed my high score and getting to the end!
Didn’t have a big score going, only 70 million on Mech Suit.
I completed all battles twice and both Quests, Sauron and Clone Multiball, but I drained my last ball during Mega Krakaladonus Rex.
I think it is the first time I got over 200 weapons though, I think I finished with 208! I forgot to get a pic.

hey everyone,

Sorry to bring this up again, but what aftermarket speaker system does everyone like?
(I'm not interested in an external sub)

I've read some of the selling points of the main aftermarket players in this,
but wanted to know what you all actually liked.

Thanks!

Mike

It's 10:30pm on Wednesday night here in Australia. I'm playing my DPLE and I hear Lil' Deadpool say "It's a school night". Nice

What's your budget?
- Pinwoofer is by far the best system you can buy and install (pretty much plug and play) - $300+ though
- Flipper Fidelity/Pinball Pro - About half the price as PinWoofer but not near as good. - ~$150
- Add an external subwoofer - for the person just wanting some more bass - ~$100

If you can afford and justify the cost of the Pinwoofer I'd go that route. If not, the other two are good options. You can also just change the backbox speakers (about $40) and add the external sub. The reason the Pinwoofer is so much better is because it's amplified sounds.

Those are the 2 I was considering,
and like you said, $300.

I guess that's why I was hoping to get some opinions
on the 2, or on just replacing the backbox speakers.

Finally, my Deadpool arrived. Lots of fun, and you all were right about leaving the soundtrack. It is great.

Opinions on the noisy fan plug n play kit?

Opinions on the noisy fan plug n play kit?

Absolutely worth it. It's a simple, 15-minute install, and voila! No more hairdryer.

#7012 3 years ago

Great. So how does it work? Are you cracking open the power supply and replacing the existing fan?

Yes, exactly.

It sounds a little intimidating, but if you've ever done anything like install components in a desktop PC it's not a big deal at all.

Did you buy new? I heard stern was doing a run of Deadpool’s in September. I’m curious if new games have started shipping yet.

I'm in!

Can I bug someone to send a photo of the outlane posts, so I can see what the factory setting was, since mine have been adjusted.

Also, a photo of the flippers, so I can see where they are set to the alignment hole.

Thanks!

Mine was right out lane set to middle hole and no bottom rubbers on them from the factory.

Looks like the top of the bats are aligned with the hole, not the center of the tip?

Could you possibly take a photo from the side angle, so I can see where that hole is lined up with the tip of the bat.

Thanks again!

What about left side?

And the photo that was posted above shows both in the middle hole, with rubbers on. Can anyone confirm the positioning of the outlane posts from the factory, and did it come with rubbers on the posts?

Thanks!

The left side only has 2 holes, right side three. All of those posts have rubbers on them.
It’s the post between outlane/inlane that doesn’t get rubbers from the factory.

It does look like holes are lined up with top of bat. I haven’t changed my flipper angle, but I do have 3100 games played, but I doubt they have moved.

And that is how it came from the factory? You're the original owner?

Also, can someone confirm that factory setting is this arrowed post in the middle (on both sides) and the white rubber would not be on?

Thank you all again!

Metal lane guide posts absolutely come from the factory with no rubber. Adding rubber really extends the ball times.

I believe so, but I don't remember how it came. I opened mine wide.

Left is middle, right is top.

Looking for a set of DP side armor. I’m hoping they make more. But I was told that they won’t. PM me please if you know of any.

confirm, right side was set to wide. No rubbers, and flippers are set right in the middle pointing to the align dots.

#7036 3 years ago

Does anyone know the size of the rubbers behind the drop targets (premium)? They're not mentioned in the owners manual and would prefer not to take everything apart twice.

Thanks!!

Just joined to club, super excited about this one.

Weird, because the photo posted by awesome1 looks to have right side in the middle.

So right side is at the third (top) hole by default?

You can build his whole setup for a 1/3 of the price if you study what he has done by others photos and photos of his installs

... also build a ported box around the subwoofer and you’ll be amazed at the bass quality

Having an issue where the auto plunge is firing super weak, barely moving the ball in the shooter lane.

I end up having to manually plunge to get the ball into play. Anyone know what this could be?

Pretty sure mine were as pictured when I received NIB a year ago with the left side in top hole (my game only has 2 holes on left side) and right side in the middle.
I could be wrong as I have tried other settings, but this is where I currently have it and no rubbers on posts between Inlane/Outlane.

Check the coil power setting and also check the linkage for free movement and the coil sleeve.

Record the auto plunge in slow-mo with your phone. I had a weak plunge and found it was shooting the ball a little left so that took all the power away. I bent the metal in until it plunged right down the middle and powerful!

#7043 3 years ago
Quoted from awesome1:

It is factory recommended to not have rubbers on the Inlane/Outlane post circled in yellow. (pic is from Stern online, I'm at work so can't get pic of my actual machine).
The outlane post circled in Blue has 3 position settings on the right side I believe. Widest opening is how mine came from the factory.
Removing either of those posts I have seen discussed, but seems pretty extreme In my opinion, but if it's your game set it up how you want it to be and find the most enjoyable for you to play.
I have no rubbers on yellow post (Have tried with and without and I didn't find easier one way or the other, but it does change how the ball acts)
I have Blue post at widest setting and have also tried middle setting with no noticeable difference in gameplay.
My high score is currently 2.9 Billion.[quoted image]

Left side open (I guess there are only two holes, so you will see one whole beneath the post). Right side is all the way at the top, confirmed by awesome1 and others like myself.

^^This...out of the box mine wouldn't auto-plunge out of the lane. I messed with the power, but it didn't change anything. Finally somebody with more experience than me looked at it, and it was the mechanism. He knew right away that the ball wasn't resting on the prongs squarely, so it was bouncing off the sides like a kids bowling ball with bumpers!! It was just happening so fast you couldn't see it.

He bent the plunger so that everything lined up and problem solved.

#7046 3 years ago

My Lil Deadpool head snapped off after 100 games or so.

Was nicely replaced ASAP by my distributor.

How do the team ups work in this game?

Trying to figure out the path to Mr. Sinister. Do you have to defeat the 3 villains, then the 2 quest villains, and Sauron in order to qualify for the main wizard?

Also reading the rules, seems that there are 3 tiers to the main wizard?!?

And, what if you don't defeat Sauron on your first attempt? Can you restart, or do you have to fight all 3 main villains again?

So far game is awesome! Only game I've brought home that my son actually asks me to play!
