Quoted from 85vett:

Megaboom is good for Ninja or Mechsuite MB as it basically gets you almost to a super with one button press. If going into Mechsuite I generally hold my megaboom (or all my booms) until I get a playfield multiplier going.
For me, I actually prefer using the booms to progress through the battles vs the quest. With battles your final shot score is determined by how much life Deadpool has which is related to how long it takes you to complete. Thus I try to finish them as fast as possible. With quest, that is not the case so I tend to take my time in a quest.
For me, the absolute best time for my use of booms is on the second batch of battles. I use them to complete the Sauron shots a lot of the time.
But I do agree, I don't find as much benefit with the megaboom as I do just having seperate booms available. Because of this I will watch my booms on the display and if I have 3, I will purposely not collect the 4th. If I'm in MB, I will generally use a boom as I collect them so I stay at that 2 or 3 boom bank.

Interesting. I may have to try this strategy!

Is there some tweaking that needs to be done to the L'il Deadpool drop targets? In my NIB game, from day 1 the targets will not drop with a high velocity shot, but if they are hit with softer velocity they fall down just fine. Given that the flipper strength does not seem to be adjustable on this game, can the targets be made to respond to the harder hits in addition to the soft ones?

#5754 4 years ago

Sounds like the tension of the springs need to be increased. What is happening is the target is hit with so much velocity that it bounces back to it's home position before the spring can pull it down. Try increasing it by 2 or 3 windings.

Thinking about joining the club pro or premium

#5756 4 years ago

Surely theres a dozen threads on this.
But as a pro owner im 100% happy, but would love to try a prem for the disco loops feature.

Quoted from Jpp718:

Premium, no question. Disco Loops mode, working disco ball, and drop targets are worth the upgrade.

#5758 4 years ago

Does anyone have a before and after if the anti-sway target. I never heard of that product before.

How do you install it?

Quoted from Trekkie1978:

You just unscrew the existing target switch stack from the target bracket and replace it with the anti-sway version. Takes maybe 5-10 minutes total to remove the target from the playfield underside, make the swap, then re-install.

I question. The pro model is awesome as well. I don't believe there is enough of a difference between the two to justify the price delta. If the criteria is simply which game has more to offer, sure, the premium (as it should). When cost difference becomes a variable, there is definitely a judgement call.

Couldn’t decide whether to post this in mods or in this thread. I think it will be more greatly appreciated here! I recently got back into 3D Printing. I’ve made a couple of simple aesthetic mods for my Pro. I also love being able to immediately print solutions to problems. Even though my Snikt! target appears to have the stabilizing bracket, it still wasn’t aligned properly. So I printed some washers to shim the mount. Shooter Knob will be baked out tomorrow. Hope you guys like them!

EDIT*: Here is the DropBox Link to the OBJ/GCode. The GCode is for a Creality Ender 3(A great entry level printer at an amazing price!).

I am less bored with a Premium due mostly to the disco modes. That is worth the price delta to me for sure. I hated the Pro, but that was on earlier code. I haven't had any interested in going back to test that theory.

Fair enough. I completely understand enjoying a premium as it definitely has more to offer. Just stating that the pro is an awesome game as well for those not wanting to pony up the difference.

Thinking about joining the club pro or premium

got a LE 1 month home (finished it)...
played a PRO on location (finished it)...

and while i was intially thinking PREM/LE the better, finally must admit that i dont really like the full left loop (with more than sometimes balls being stopped/blocked at the moving ramp)

PRO is more than OK on this title

That is definitely a part of the question is the premium worth the cost

Adjustments - Deadpool - Feature Adjustment#19 Weapons Extra Ball

I have mine (Code 1.03) set to factory "Auto" which always awards Extra Ball at 35 Weapons.

I’m sure this may be buried somewhere in this thread. But my game releases all the balls at once out of the katana for MB. Is there an easy fix for this?

Only you can answer that. The only true gameplay difference is the diverter ramp. Everything else is bells and whistles.

Used some of today's self-isolation time to finish up my Comet GI upgrade. I only installed two of the four provided spotlights to brighten up the center of the playfield. I know it's been posted before, but this is a must-have upgrade in my opinion.

Before and after:

where are they located? Im assuming in the middle somewhere pointing towards DP? Looks nice

#5781 4 years ago

They are there on top of the sling plastics. They look like they stick out a lot further than ideal.

The kit swaps out all of the red and clear white GI bulbs with frosted sunlights, and includes 4 spotlights that mount on the slings. Even without the spots, getting rid of the red & clear whites made a huge difference.

#5783 4 years ago

Yeah, Deadpool is the only machine i have pinstadiums on. It's too hard for me to see without more lighting near the flippers, especially with my cataracts.

Maybe check DP adjustment 51 "disable control gate" mine is set to factory "No". My Katana always releases one ball at a time.

It may be a katana sword switch issue otherwise.

Seems like my extra ball setting was already on auto but still gives me extras at 10. I think I’ll just change it to 35

Im one of those wierd guys that plays pinball with my lights on..... I dim them to about 30%, but i cant see the damn ball moving if I dont have some lighting. And i have great vision and Im under 40.

I had this issue and observed that the post was slowly moving to full height and during multiball, the post just wasn't returning to fully up to individually release each ball. The spring tension looked good, so I figured that there was just more friction on some element of the post mech. I ended up fixing it by just adding a bit of Super Lube PTFE lubricant to make sure it returned to the fully up position quickly and easily - after which it worked just fine and has continued to for months.

take a look under the playfield the post is rubbing the playfield. slightly bend or move the solenoid so it movies freely

#5793 4 years ago

Does anyone know an easy way to tighten the white GI bulb here, under the ramp? Mine is loose and flickers, but I don’t want to dissemble the lift up ramp to get to it, and under the play field the bulb socket is soldered versus screwed to the underside of the play field. Thanks for any suggestions.

Every now and then the connections of the lights loosen up. Especially obvious on the top right BAM! lights. I always just push in every connection to fix this but is there a main connection that always causes this or a way to prevent this in the future?

Anyone else ever gotten a "fast drain multiball" where a freshly plunged ball drains very fast down the right outlane... so fast it kicks back up into the flippers and you save the ball... and ball save was still on so another ball kicks out!

I've had that happen a couple times now!

A "regular" fast drain save a few times as well.

Happens often enough that I can predict it and get the flipper out of the way to save it.

Love the FDMB on location!

At home, I recently had the ball drain on the right and rip right back up the left back into play. Not during a ball save scinario but exciting nonetheless!

I guess there is hope of that. They released a code update to Iron Man the other day and that came out in 2010. We can only hope. If anything, fix the ‘one’ digit!
