My Pro is on order, but dang that LE looks nice!

I just opened mine. Plays fine out of the box

blimpey were did you hobbits find 3/4 scale pinball machines? J/k, that is one serious fireplace tho!

The disco ball is BADASS in a dark room. I was surprised at how well it bounced off of my walls and ceiling.

Got my Deadpool LE today. Shoots great. Is not clunky. Look amazing. Great fun game and package. More soon but this promises to be a very good game. I think that SDTM review was overly harsh.

How’s the backglass in person? meh, ok, good, great, fantastic or off the hook? How about cabinet art?

Both are fantastic. The backglass has a lot more mirror accents than I expected.

Not sure if it was harsh or an honest opinion of the Pro model omissions. After playing the Pro and now the LE arrival I must say the flow is rather noticeably improved with the drop ramp and lack of shooter lane ball drops. For me Star wars was the same. Really didn't like the game till I played a premium with all the ramps and features omitted. Hate when manufacturers remove game play features to lower cost personally.

Deadpool LE #249 in the house! Owned a Pro(which for the buck ain’t bad either). But this is a whole new world! Game is just stunning to look at in every way. IMO, the added features that the LE brings truly enhance the overall gameplay experience. Big wow right out of the box. Shout out to Randy at Got Pinball for making it happen. Best, Charlie

#460 5 years ago

The mirror of the backglass is very well done.
The armor surprised me the most. It’s almost a red orange with gold (pretty large) flake.

#461 5 years ago

^
Thought the same thing bro! Armor looks much better in person. Not what I was picturing in my mind for sure.

#462 5 years ago

Congrats to all the recent LE owners.

I recently played an LE at a friend's pad and the game IMO is not nearly as clunky as the boys in the SDTM review indicate.
The left orbit to 'lift' ramp would definitely make a difference with the ball seamlessly ending up on the sword ramp returning to the right flipper.
Overall, I found the pin had good flow and had me wanting to hit the re-start button.
I was making the Katana ramp fairly regularly and found it such a satisfying shot.
I feel setting this pin up with proper pitch is likely going to make a noticeable difference (particularly for the Katana ramp).
The 3 modes and 2 quests are all fun to play.
The screen graphics were cool and the pin looks beautiful.
The pf, powder coated trim and mirror backglass & cab art all look so much better in person.
Love the inner art blades, shaker and lit speakers to boot.
I remain very excited to receive my LE.

What pitch did you set it at?

#464 5 years ago

I'm at 6.9. You gotta hit it clean, but it's not nearly as bad as people say. It's supposed to be a tough shot. Same with the colossus uturn.

So far the only issue Ive had is that balls bounce off of the side of the katana if you hit multiple left orbits in a row because it builds up so much speed. Might need a little cushion at the top of the drop ramp. Not sure yet.

#465 5 years ago

Just had my first Deadpool service call. The piece of blue rubber to the right of the left ramp and metal guard came loose because the two black screws fell out. Easy fix, but just something to keep an eye on. I did not even realize those rubber pieces were there.

I've heard a lot of loose screws stories. Mine comes tonight, I'll be going over as much as I can to make sure we're all tight and happy

Double check the screws holding the switch under the scoop under your playfield too. That has been a problem spot for some owners.

#468 5 years ago

@ Chuckwurt, my friend indicated that his LE I played was set at around 6.7-6.8.

#469 5 years ago

No loose screws.

Hope to get my Pro next week. I ordered the Pinball Pro art blades and the lighted speaker mod from Pinball Speaker Lights. Any other mods you guys would suggest?

I want to get some speaker lights too. I was trying to figure out which ones to use with the new Stern's.

PSL lights work great in Aerosmith. I sprung for the acrylic add on to give the game more BOOM. At some point, red power coating would look nice.

DP LE has arrived. It is still early but this game may have longterm potential. Really impressed with how Stern has stepped up their LE package. The speakers sound great and the powdercoat that Gomez customized is terrific --> A+ George.

Loving my LE so far.
Changed slings and flipper rubbers.
Installed plastic stand up characters from goodie bag in game. It’s breaking in nicely and playing really well out of the box so far.

So glad I picked up Deadpool, had an issue with little Deadpool switch not registering but a little repositioning and cleaning of the contacts seems to have fixed it. Really like the powder coat on the armor and the art blades are great!

Someone needs to make some custom instruction cards to match each model.
These LEs are looking mighty purdy.

I occasionally use SLK (Speaker Light Kits), but most of the time I don't think people know what I'm talking about (even though it's a conversation about speaker lights).

Any pics of the vinyl record or is Stern shipping it out later to LE owners?

Go see for yourself. It’s not as stunning as the GOTGLE backglass in person, but it’s fantastic. The whole game looks incredibly good as a package when you see it in person. Straight up 10 out of 10. None of these pics do it justice. At all. I looked at my other machines and they just look like... old or something compared to it. I couldn’t believe I was putting it out instead of taking it home. All good though, it would make me late for work from just staring at it and drooling.

There's a card that came in the game that needs to be filled out and sent back to stern. The vinyl records will be shipped out when available. Be sure to check your machine for the "We Owe" card from stern.

Will do, is Maiden back in the lineup?

Question of day -> What’s better than DPLE next to a MAIDENLE next to a METLE next to an ACDCLE?

Answer - nothing of course, we haven’t seen MLE (Munsters) yet

#491 5 years ago

Finally put together a good game on DP

Beat both quests and all 3 battles. Using team ups for the battles is key. Trying to save up for a super boom on the quests is key. Also found out that disco has 2 modes on the LE. Starts as a loop combo mode, second mode is the disco multiball that is on the pro. I played Sauron for a while and felt like I did really well but Mr Sinister did not light after I lost my multiball? Sauron is a super hard mode. The only thing I believe I didn't do was play all the lil dp modes so maybe that is why Mr Sinister didn't light? It just restarted with the 3 battles not lit again.

I’m seriously considering getting one, but I want to wait a bit to see how code progresses. I don’t know if Stern would even consider doing this, but I’d love to see some depth get added similar to Star Trek. Maybe add levels to each battle, where you could progress through harder versions of each villain or quest. Another option might be to add a second set of battles after Sauron, where you play zombie versions of the villains you just defeated.

Not yet. Hope to get to today/tmrw. Just play Deadpool, it’s much more fun anyways.

LE owners, do your node boards have capacitor kit on them?
Also, does the shaker board have the kit?

#496 5 years ago

Just got my Pro! Everything is running great and the katana shot is smooth as butter. I did have an issue with the Boom button switch being activated constantly, but a little bending of the switch corrected that.

Very happy with it so far!

#497 5 years ago

LE #165 set on FREE PLAY at the Museum of Pinball in Banning, CA. Kenny and I set it up ourselves. A few issues out of box: boom button didn’t work (fixed), left Flipper not tight at all (fixed), playfield not sitting right - couldn’t do a full plunge - fixed but not feeling good about it.

Surprised to see all the PRO plastics in the goodie bag which were replaced with the 3D figures. Also found the card you send in to get the vinyl record in with them. Also, the mirrored backglass is kicka$$, the HD glass was a cool addition. Installed shaker is there but not programmed yet. The disco ball was a very cool effect.

Can someone post pictures of their bottom side of playfield in the up position?? Focus on node board areas?

Good suggestions. I’d actually be ecstatic about more high score names for each mode / multiball. I really like it when games add that.

I seem to be missing the Pro plastics and the record postcard on my LE. I guess I'll have to open a case. Odd.
