Hi everyone,

Looking for some opinions. Currently, I own a Deadpool LE that is an awesome pin. Also, have played a lot of virtual AFM Remake. Seems like a fantastic game as well. Looking for a pin that has longevity. What is the popular vote? Would you do Deadpool for the long haul or should I go for trading DP for a AFM? All opinions count here.

Thanks for the input!

Thanks all. I had a feeling that DP was a lot better for longevity. I guess what really "pissed" me off about it was that I bought it brand new from a gentleman. I thought just like my LE Munsters that it would have the plastic leg protectors already on. Well, I was wrong. So by each leg on DP, the decals have curled a little. I have a heat gun that I'm going to try and heat them up just a little and smooth them out with a squeegee. I love Marvel themes so I love the DP action just played AFM and was liking the theme and feel. I guess I'll just wait a little and buy one outright.

Have to say I love Pinside. Everyone here is great and I really appreciate all the input since I'm still a novice at this hobby.

Thanks everyone. I’m going to keep our DP. I’ll just save up some money and buy an AFM outright. I appreciate all the input. Gotta love the pinside community.

Off topic, but I thought Sterns came standard with the metal leg standoffs nowadays?
Edit: reading more, looks like they're plastic. In either case - I believe your DP should have come with something between the legs and cab.

I thought so too. Our Munsters LE had the plastic ones. So I figured that DP would have had it. Nope, nothing at all. Didn't even think that the curl up would have occurred. Damn, I was an idiot. I'm supposed to receive my metal protectors today from Pinball Life. I'm going to work on the DP tonight and hope that using the heat gun and squeegee will get it flattened again so won't have to worry once the metal protectors are screwed in. I guess first time learning for myself.

I am assuming the missing cabinet protectors were just a mistake at the factory on that particular cabinet... but can anyone else confirm if they are intentionally not included on new builds? It wouldn't make sense for Stern to omit them as this was a lesson learned long ago, like on Transformers. I am in on the next run of Deadpool Pro and there is no way I am installing the legs without them...

I am hoping so for other people purchasing these. My mom has a Spider-Man VE and the same curling is happening. Can’t believe they wouldn’t at least put that as not included so we would at least have the knowledge. I didn’t know that it happened on the transformers pin. Yea definitely buy the protectors if not on the cabinet. I wish I would have paid closer attention.

Weird, and good luck with the heat gun. Were the decals cut around where the stand off should have been?

Same boat, basically. Waiting on a DP prem and was under the impression that they came standard and have for years. Would be an annoying delay to have to order a set if it arrives bare.

Thanks. I’m really hoping I can fix it. Love the artwork. Just don’t want it ruined after only having it a year. Surprisingly it’s just curled no tears. That’s why I’m hoping the heat gun will do just enough to make it moldable so I can get it flat and get the protectors on. Should have the metal protectors delivered tomorrow. Keeping the fingers crossed.
