I had the same problem on my machine. Mine is the the LE model. The last D on the DEAD drop targets did exactly the same thing your describing. I tried adding a washer behind the spring that sets the pressure on the target to catch on the edge. The added spring tension didn't make any difference. Talked with a technician on the phone at Stern about it. He told me to bend the target. At first i thought he was joking, but he was serious. He said its made of ABS plastic and is supper supper tough material. It wont break. I did what he told me to do and its been fixed ever since. You just drop the whole drop target assembly down from the under side of the play field. You bend that target in the middle in the direction towards the opposite targets to the other side of the play field. I bent it pretty good a few time holding it a few seconds each time. You would think it would be out of aliment with the other targets but its totally in aliment. I was skeptical that it would fix it since it seems to go right back to its original position, but what ever bending it does seems to fix it. Post how your fix goes.
