Stern just dropped the Deadpool pinball teaser...
Jesus the goddamn bobble head. Tie fighter only had 1 spring guys... This has 3!!!
Hahaha what a shit show
Plastic bobble head toy and not based off the movies but rather the comics with voice actors...pass. Will wait and see on this one but I don't have a good feeling about it.
Less of a teaser and more of a "don't wait go ahead and spend your pinball money elsewhere" public service announcement.
Such a great theme but hard to imagine it without Ryan Reynolds. This is the kinda thing I suspect he would be down to do. Like Seth Rogan doing the voice on the Sky Train.
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:So what do we think should they have stuck with the Funko Pop.

First mod for the machine
Spring loaded spastic sword Deadpool is exactly the kind of thing deadpool would actually have on the dashboard of a car he was driving.
Ya'll need to lighten up.

Ya, I'd rather have the head and arms wiggle, than just a funko pop.....
I think the leaked playfield is going to be very close to the actual final product. You can see the lanes blurry behind his head and you can also see the handle of his sword which I am assuming is still the ramp from the leaked image. I hope more is added but that loop to ramp shot to the right of the drops looks kind of cool.
Quoted from Wolfmarsh:I'm touching myself tonight.
And this is different from every other night how?
Wow, I thought the video was a joke until I looked at Stern's Facebook post. Maybe we'll get a Pez dispenser with the pin too. I hope the game has funny call outs from the movies...
I'm excited to see the game, but that teaser was odd. That's probably going to be the cheapest component of the game. Just a weird thing to highlight. Still, it's a theme that I'm excited for.
Quoted from Deaconblooze:Do we see the PF today? Looks like gameplay will be livestream by DeadFlip on the 15th.
I think we will see gameplay on August 15th like you said and playfield reveal this Tuesday.

"Wham!"
briana-aleman-wip (resized).jpgI agree. I love the movies, dont get me wrong, but being based on the comic and not the movies is a total bonus creativity wise. Cant wait!

Plus, I would imagine there will be "options" to use movie / RR call outs
This was probably a tricky license for Stern. If it was too expensive or possibly neutered by not being able to use voices or likenesses, a comic theme is probably for the best.
That being said, it’s tough to separate Ryan Reynolds from Deadpool. He owned that character. I’m sure the voice actor will do fine (the virtual table was okay), but those are some big shoes to fill.
I expect custom callouts for this one. Hopefully the layout and art look great!

Here ya go. You can glue them everywhere on the playfield.

Seems a lot like Judge Dredd, wiht the movies being widely popular and the comics not as much. I just wonder in the future if it will have the opposite effect; people getting exciting thinking it's aboot the movies and then being let down.
Agreed, That arc shot through the pops and up the ramp looks like it is really fun. Hope it translates In real life. Usually hate that drop target bank where it is. Always avoid it on SW and AC/DC, a total waste of space on those games. Hope they angle those drop targets a little more so there are less drains SDTM. Hope the cheap comic book license allows them to do more toys, lighting, and innovation than an average Stern, we know what having an expensive license did to SW.

I really liked the JD callouts, so ya never know!
Two years for flatulence.
I worked on the Deadpool video game. It was also based on the comics, it gives you way more creative room. I can't wait for this!
I also thought it was a joke until following the link which takes you to sterns official YouTube channel.

Yeah can you imagine if it was Stallone form the movie? ... Uff.
