I keep blowing the 8A fuse off of the utility box, when the transformer is plugged in.
What led up to this? Blown up 2P display, replaced PSU (smoked 100v section), replaced display driver board, replaced 2P display.
I'm getting abnormal results on the main power switch (all poles read positive continuity) when - and only when - main is plugged into transformer (3x3 connector).
Have replaced power cord end with a proper grounded plug.
I can turn on the power - disconnected from transformer - and 8A fuse is fine. Varistor replaced.
Switching on power with transformer (no connections upstream to any boards) connected to main blows the 8A immediately.
Is this a dead transformer? Looks good. But when I lost the PSU, had a terrible smell for days.
Thanks in advance.
