Joined the club this weekend. Seems like it'will be a really fun game. Not as deep as my others but my family loves the movies.

Several observations. Mine has the red plastic strip over the lower light bank, assume it's an earlier production? Mine also has the unused switch slot behind the Kracken, not sure if that's on newer playfields? See photo.

Also, why is that plastic behind the Dead Mans chest on top of the pop bumper cap? Has anyone else wondered about that? I put it under the cap just to see if it would look better that way.

Notice the poster on the wall. Seller threw that in unexpectedly!

Quoted from PeterG:

The idea of the plastic under the popbumper is great. I had never any balls up there in many plays.

To me it just looks better that way, so I might leave it for a while. I don't know, but to me that plastic laying on top of the pop Bumper cap just looks like an afterthought.

Quoted from maffewl:

Hey everyone... per several requests I've received from fellow POTC owners, I'm looking into the costs of creating the "ball deflector plastic" I designed/built in post 691. Images of my prototype are in that post and below. Again, the idea behind this piece is to allow the removal of the stock spit-shield that surrounds the ship. As the green targets are the main culprit of causing air balls, this goal of this piece is to keep an air ball from happening at the source.
How many of you would be interested in purchasing one of these for a price of approx. $15?
Again, thanks for all your positive comments!

This is really nice looking and well done mod.

Notice how nice my sneeze guard looks now sitting on my work bench. Also can see how clean the Playfield looks without it.
I put the original mounting screws back, thought it looked better than leaving the blank holes, also added a small washer on the left mounting post to protect the plastic mod.

Nice job William, and thanks for making it so affordable!

"Antique miniature brass/iron cannons". $8 for the set on eBay. I think they look OK.

Which Jack Sparrow figure do you have on the left?

Wish I could answer that for you. Prior owner had attached him, as well Bootstrap and Davy Jones

Quoted from PeterG:

Looks like the Zizzle ones in 4" - check eBay on those, lots of variants available. For me those are to big, I like the 2" ones from sizzle, also on eBay.

Here's the full set.

lift up playfield, little blue plastic piece prob broken on plunger and coil

This! I keep an extra of that plunger with the blue piece, mine has broken once already.
