Thanks!
Happy to be in the club. Picked up a really nice one a couple of weeks ago. Has Color dmd, powder coating, Back Alley speaker panel, led back box, new ramps, and more.
First thing I did was the dead mans chest parchment paper mod. Then my daughter and I painted and weathered the chest. I did the ship cannon led mod, too.
Just got Maffewell’s air ball mod and picked up some art blades at the Allentown show.
Having a blast with it so far.

Here you go. The chest was the stock one that came with the game.

How and where did you get the leds to do the ship mod? Thanks

I had a bunch of red 3mm leds, so I used them. I wired them up, installed, and tied them to the ship flasher. Similar to that kit that Weir Pinball offered a while back.
Quoted from Squizz:Hi, Anyone have the custom code potc0600DS2.bin laying around that they can send me please?
Thanks

Do you know if the kit is still offered or available anywhere? I’d love to do this.
Not that I know of, sorry. Weir pinball's site has the kits as sold out. I guess you could try to contact him to see if he's doing another run?

If you're handy, you could get some pre-wired 3mm leds from eBay, wire, drill out the cannons and try it yourself.
Ahoy mateys!!!
Time to poke out one eye and get a parrot. I'm in the club. Picked up this very clean pin today. What a great shooting game.
Can't wait to read thousands of your posts and find all the gems.

A fellow Pinsider had an unused kit that he offered to me. Can’t wait to get it and put it in the machine!

I tied my pin stadiums to the ship flasher. I bet if you attached this kit and the ps lights to the flasher your head would explode! LOL

Nice to see Otto on the POTC site.
98.5% of the group here will have zero idea what I'm talking about.
Roger - Huh?
Surely you can't be serious.

I don’t have pinstadiums for it but I bet you are right!
Really enjoying potc, under rated I be leave.
Was looking around to change things up, and noticed the alternate cabinet art decals.

Has anyone done this to there potc?
would really like to see what it looks like, and your thoughts on the quality of the product.
Thanks
Looking for some help? My settings keep resetting from free play to credit, high scores go away and anything else I have saved. Any suggestions? Thanks
Quoted from gordonshumway:Sounds like a battery not keeping the memory items.
I didn’t even know that it contained a battery. I had my Williams High Speed batteries replaced with NVRAM, so I assumed that all Stern machines had NVRAM. Well, I’m still learning. Thanks for the help.

POTC is a Sam system. Has a coin cell battery. You can’t put NVRAM on it.
Quoted from tdtom:Does anyone have the LED ship mod they are willing to sell. Thanks
I hope you can find one. It is a great mod. I just recently bought my POTC and put out the same request. I was fortunate enough to have a fellow pinsider, who was getting ready to sell his machine, offer me a kit that he had never installed. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for you.

Can you share a picture of what was in the kit, before you install?
Thanks!

Unfortunately, I have already installed it. If you go to weirpinball.com (the maker of the mod) and click on "mod kits", the kit pops right up. You can see what was included in the kit if you click on the installation instructions. I've attached a couple pics of it installed on my machine. I painted the cannon turrets black on my ship as well.
IMG_3810 (resized).JPGIMG_3812 (resized).jpg@gac. That's very nice of you, appreciate you keeping an eye out for me. Would definitely like to add this mod. The photos of your ship look great.

Thanks for the kind words. The pic with the leds lit is kind of crappy as it's difficult to catch them on and the related flasher "washes out" the picture as well. No problem keeping an eye out... glad to do it.

Hi guys,
New pirate here, very fortunate to find this machine in Bogotá-Colombia.

Mr and Mrs Smith brought it down there!

I bought it from a arcade park here, the owner imported two Stern pinball machines on 2008, Spider-Man and Pirates, he told me they were very expensive to maintain and no one never understood how to play it.
Both in regular shape, dirty as hell and very bad technicians….. But this one is missing the entire motor and clutch assembly, what a bummer. Got to save money but I’m going to get the parts at the end, really cool machine.
Just goofing off with led illumination….

Just interested... What did you have to give for this in Columbia?

One of the most underrated pins out there I think. May be biased as it's in the collection, but the code, light show andt "toys" are all good at that price point.

I agree, it’s the longest I’ve owned pin and it’s still in my collection, great code, theme, art, toys. I’m not too into nodding my puns but Potc is one that people love to mod up, so many possibilities.
