At what point in its rotation should each of the switches be activated? Mid cycle, or absolute top and bottom?
I didn't find it in the manual anywhere or here on pinside.

Mine is top and bottom. in all honesty all that matters is when is it is at rest you are supposed to see nothing. And when the transport is supposed to be active you're supposed to see them.
OK, so any time the motor is spinning, they should pop into view briefly.
When the motor is stopped (top and bottom) they should be hidden?

Nope, they're there when the game starts and transport out during Multiball. Once Multiball starts they do fade in and out briefly and then vanish. Once multiball is over they should show up again.

LOL That totally makes sense. I always though it was the other way around.
