Pretty sure this has been hacked. Could someone post a pic of the trough switches from the top under the apron? Do the three balls sit on the switches or past them to some degree when in the trough? Also, a pic of the shooter switch would be helpful as I know it’s janky and not right. Thanks in advance!

They sit on the switches. Those through switches have to be closed in order for the game to start.
That’s what I would have imagined, but these, the first ball sits past. They are a complete mess I think, but somehow were working for awhile. That’s why I just now took a look. Anyone with some picks, I’d really appreciate it. I’m not even sure the right switches are being used…

Those Data East switches are junk. You should replace it with the opto board from @Davi, I enclosed pics of this board with correct wiring sequence. This is from GNR, but Simpson should be the same. Davi has a list going now for another run of these boards. J

Thank you so much!! This was super helpful. Here’s how mine were. I’m not really sure what happened here. It was in backwards but also bent up the wrong way like 180 degrees. No idea how that happened, but this game had a long, neglected life on route and I’ve found all sorts of surprises in it.
Didn’t have an exact replacement switch for the mangled shooter lane, but was able to make a newer VUK work.
Thanks again, this was perfect and my favorite part about the Pinside community!
