My DE Simpsons started smelling like burnt electronics. I immediately shut the game off and looked for damage. Nothing was apparent so I started feeling around and R1 was red hot. No damage. Kept looking and Q46 is burnt up. Not only that but it has been replaced before and with the wrong transistor. This has a Rottendog board in it and all the nearby transistors are 13N10L. This one was a TIP122.
So I don't have any 13N10Ls laying around so I'm going to order some. Anything else I should be looking at while I wait? I recently had a Comet problem that was only fixed when I changed out the diode pre driver and driver. I've had the game for 7 months now and it plays fine for around an hour a day up until now, so I'm not sure why it was working before with the wrong transistor in it.

Thanks for any help or suggestions!

As long as R1 reads ok, can compare to a neighboring one with same color code.

Problem has been fixed. Game plays great and the outhole kicker is stronger than it has ever been.
The eBay seller took almost 2 weeks to get me the part though so won't be using that one again.
First game back on and had the game of my life, 25 million!
