Finally got my DE Simps reassembled and I'm having switch problems. I ran the switch test in audit mode and most work fine, two are balky, some aren't functioning at all. This is my first time debugging switches so hopefully someone can help me fix this.

Below is a copy of the switch matrix from the manual. The ones that are balky I colored blue, the non-registering ones I colored pink, and the yellow one, the "credit button", assuming that's what the manual calls the start button, that one's not registering either. The two EOS switches on the chart I'm assuming are actually the flipper button switches (which don't register); there are no EOS switches as it has a solid state flipper board.

I took readings of the diodes on the problem switches, here they are (using the switch #'s from above). Readings on some were very odd but I double-checked them all.

SWITCH / NOT ACTIVATED / ACTIVATED
3 Credit button / .590 / .590
10 Outhole / .596 / .590
11 Trough left / .590 / .590
12 Trough center / .562 / .562
13 Trough right / .005 / .568
14 Shooter lane / .001 / .586
15 Left flipper - no diode -
16 Right flipper - no diode -
17 Left outlane / .008 / .585
18 Right outlane / .595 / .595

I checked every switch & diode carefully to make sure nothing was being shorted. Also these are micro not leaf switches, if that matters. I'm reading everything I can find on the matter but kinda at a standstill. How can I tell if it's a switch problem, a diode problem, or something else?

Also, don't know if this would have anything to do with the switch issues above, when turning the machine both on and off, the kickback coil energizes for just a fraction of a second. Works fine in the audit mode coil test.
