A good clean and wax is all that is left to do! I am swapping out the power supply board for one I'm freshening up on the bench but that is a five minute job I can do in place once completed.

And the topper sign, I'm printing out some samples this morning for trial.

What did you use for your t-rex teeth? it kinda looks like that thin white foam you can get in sheets.

My wife is lactose intolerant, a jug from her fake milk worked awesome and it was free.

There are other products that use the same style solid white plastic, bleach bottles for example.

That's alot of bleach to drink before I can use the empty bottle. I will clean out the fridge later and see what i can possibly find.

Next time at store look for one of these small lunchbox milks.

1. Buy one jug of almond milk, 2. make a hundred sets of T-rex teeth, 3. count the money.

Funny you mentioned that. After my post I already started drawing cut files to cut them from white abs on a laser table.

Ha, I still have 98% of the jug left, was going to offer to send a piece if you need it.

VUK switch and diode replaced, it was fussy once too often.

Silver lining: color DMD?

Yup. Popped a diode on the board and allowed high voltage to cross over to the low side. I replaced the diode which brought the display back up but the damage is already done. I think it took out one of the surface mount chips.

I'll be picking at a topper this week, a few irons in the fire as I am back from vacation.

Just a follow up on the DMD issue, I think I figured out what happened.

Going through some documentation, DE issued a technical service bulletin #38 update to the Power Board schematic. Seems like there was a misprint and some diode locations (D10/D11) were mislabeled. Care to guess what diodes got replaced on a board I was rebuilding and testing? Yup.

So if you have a factory service manual for LW3, Rocky and Bullwinkle and Star Wars pay close attention to the board revision and what is actually on the board for parts.

Man. What are the odds?!?!

Most unfortunate, there might have been a reason the board I was working on was missing the D10 diode when I started on it. I think someone already tried replacing it and went by the schematic.

That lesson cost me $100 for a replacement DMD, ching! ching!

Just an update: What started as a bit of a wreck still going strong at this time, hasn't given us much trouble at all the past year.
