I have been dealing with some issues with my DE JP. It’s been in storage for a year or two. My power supply went out and I ended up replacing it with a X-Pin power supply. After that, the sound on the machine didn’t work at all. No sound/noise on boot up/tests/gameplay/etc. I checked the voltages and they all tested good. I reseated the ribbon cable and that had no effect.

Based on what I read online the next step seemed to be replay the RAM/PAL chips (U19/U20) on the sound board. I installed a couple sockets and swapped in some new RAM I ordered for JP and now I get a somewhat fait “morse code” sound through the speakers. It’s like the sound isn’t being decoded and playing digitally through the speakers.

Has anyone had this issue? Any thoughts on next steps?
