My GnR keeps blowing the f9 fuse for the lazer kick.

the only components in this cirquit really only are Q2 (tip 36c) , D21 (diode), R18 and Q25 (TIP122).
and ofcourse the 23-800 coil and diode.

replaced the q2 and coil/diode on impulse but no improvement, i cant really measure any faults in any of the components either, any thoughts? a short somewhere in the wiring?

Didn't you make a mistake by wiring the coil the wroung way?
Vio-Yel has to be on the banded side of the diode.

Did you check the diode on the coil itself ?

That fuse can also blow if something is bad with the magnets. I’d pull the magnet fuses and replace the F9 fuse and see if it blows.

wiring is good, diode on the coil is good too.

i guess ill check the magnets next. is there a test you can do for checking the condition of the actual magnets?

I should have said magnet board. The magnets themselves are probably fine. But those magnet boards are notorious for having something fail on them. It may not be the problem at all, but it's worth checking out.

I didn't think of the magnets as they are not in the standard manual.
Here is the addendum file:

It indeed shows the magnets being supplied via PPB J7-3, which is also used for the Laser Kick.

Did you change the magnets or the board???
I got the same problem.
