Hey all,
I recently picked up a DE Batman that has the general wear this game is known for, but thankfully in not TERRIBLE shape.
That being said -- some of the roll over switches and things are showing wear, as is around the batcave, I was wondering if I might pick your collective brains regarding these worn-down areas.
For the roll over switches -- I was thinking putting in a bunch of the Cliffy switch slot protectors -- I know those are generally for the ramp-ball-drop-switches, but I thought it might take some of the wear off that general area - thoughts?
For the joker face crack -- I thought maybe a mylar strip of some kind to prevent it from cracking further?
Should I think about mylar over all the worn areas?
Considering how this game is known to wear out -- Would you guys ever install a playfield protector (regardless of damage) to just 'seal in' whatever damage there currently is just so it doesn't further escalate?
I would love to touch up/restore the game but I won't be able to do that for some time, so I thought maybe an interim playfield protector might be a good solution.
On top of all of that -- if anyone has any recommendations to safe guard this against further playfield deterioration, any and all advice is welcome -- thanks all!
Johnny
