Hello to all,
I am a new member, I write from Italy and the LETHAL WEAPON 3 is one of my 3 pinballs together with JURASSIC PARK and TALES FROM THE CRYPT
Quoted from MoSeS_1592:Here are the mods I made to mine a few years ago:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/lethal-weapon-3-pinball-mods
Your mods are spectacular, congratulations. It would be a dream for me to be able to install some of them on my lw3 but I am not able to build them
Quoted from MoSeS_1592:Thank you!
Do you sell ready-to-install kits? The train and the car are amazing
I have tales from the crypt, jurassic park, letal weapon 3. For the first 2 I have already purchased the updated roms, I can't wait to have them for lw3 as well (I currently have 2.08). I hope for a multiball script instead of tri-ball, super Leo during the disabled multiball, a 2 ball multiball and a timed save ball .. Or any other wonderful modification you can do
Quoted from shaub:Is it possible to patch or modify the rom to prevent LED ghosting, like the WPC patch does?
Unfortunately I don't think it's possible, I'd be very happy to be wrong
Quoted from Mahoyvan:Did you guys color match ur leds?
Im thinkin of doin a top to bottom on mine but might just warm-white the whole thing and caller a day
I do not use colored LEDs, warm white for Orange, red, yellow Gems, white natural 4000k on other gems and for GI
I have had this pinball machine since 2010 and I love the gameplay, it will stay in my house forever
Hi, can someone please tell me the codes of the lamp socket in the backbox? For
flash and normal lamps. Thanks

EDIT: I am trying to add the Excel file that has these images plus the list of what type of bulb each of those is, but can't seem to add an Excel file here. Sorry!
Basically, for the backbox, it's all wedge base bulbs. The green circles are regular bulbs and the orange circles are the flashers.
For the playfield, same idea except the additional purple circles are for round base bulbs. Green is still wedge base and the orange circles are flashers.

First of all I thank you
I need the code of the lamp holder and not the lamp. The one circled in red is broken and I can't find the code to order the spare part
Quoted from AlexRogan84:lol, scusa. L'ho guardato dopo averlo scritto e ho pensato che potresti aver provato a sostituire il supporto e non le lampadine stesse.
Non sono sicuro di quale sia il codice fuori mano. Fammi vedere se posso aiutarti a capirlo.
Very thanks
Quoted from gdonovan:Should post that in "rare and prototype" parts thread.
I did not know the existence of that thread. I had lost all hope of being able to find it
Quoted from trueno92:Doveva essere costoso!! È super raro.
It's absurd but I found it from a guy who lives 1 hour from my house at a cost of 40 euros (about 45 dollars), there are a few superficial scratches but it is perfect
Quoted from trueno92:Keep it nice!! Mine had an original but it was dented and cracked at the very very top and not visible when the head is up.
My first dome is also broken at the top, as I will never sell the pinball, I will keep this dome in the best possible way
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Is it possible for someone State-side to acquire one of the rare NOS domes and send them to one of the ramp makers for them to make new plastic domes?
For many years I have been asking all spare parts manufacturers if it was possible to produce a replacement dome and never received a positive response. I never understood why
Quoted from gdonovan:A lot of LW3 missing the whole assembly so the dome itself does little good. Add to the fact, auto blue lamp assemblies are only 20 to 30 dollars.. a new dome might actually be a very small market slice.
Luckily I have the original and fully functional mechanism of the flashing light. I was just missing the dome. I understand that only the dome could be a slice of the market not very large, but not too small either. All LW3 owners would like one, in my opinion
I also used the chad code on my jurassic park and tales from the crypt but in this case I have big doubts:
I don't like that the fight mode isn't totally random as before, I loved this randomness and I don't like having to do the holes 1 2 3 in sequence, can i change these 2 Modality?
Thank you
HI, from this morning the knocker no longer works, What can I check? The wires are attached and from the coil test you do not activate
It's the only thing that doesn't work, I don't have the manual and even from the one downloaded from ipdb I couldn't understand much

Quoted from Da-Shaker:This is a good schematic of your knocker coil. Start by checking that your wires are soldered to the coil. Then check and make sure your diode on the coil is still good. Next go to your PPB board and check for burnt connections Q5 (TIP 36C) & Diode D16. Last check CPU board for burnt connections and transistor Q39

Really thank you, Although I understand little about electronics, your sequence of elements to check is really clear, now the pinball machine is at my parents' house, as soon as I return to them I will do exactly as you wrote to me. Is there no fuse to check? Thanks again
I have the Tip36c in stock, for safety I would also like to buy the transistor q39 but it is so small that I can not understand the model, you would know, please, Which transistor to buy Looking at the photo I took to the JP I have in my house (it will be the same as the lw3) ? ? Thank you

Quoted from Da-Shaker:Additionally, the knocker and laser kick run off your 50 volt and have potential of blowing your F5 fuse on the PPB. I'd check to see if your laser kick is working.
The laser kick works perfectly, I've been playing it all day and it's always worked great
Thanks again, ok I spotted the correct q5 in pbb Board E Q39 in CPU board, But I can't understand the Q39 what a transistor model it is. The movement of the coil is totally free, first I will try to replace the coil.
Quoted from Da-Shaker:The knocker and laser kick operate off the 50 volt. Both have pre and post transistors that go to the PBB board.
Your coil is probably fine. Unless it’s burnt or the plunger won’t move freely in and out. Does it lock on when you start a game or does it not do anything? Did you try to test it in settings on the coin door?
The plunger it moves freely, it is not blocked. When a game starts it does absolutely nothing, even from the test in the coin door it does nothing when I try to start it
Very thanks, I'll start by checking what you listed, this is the only thing that in pinball doesn't work
@trk12fire
Hello and thanks for the help you give me. Next week I will be at my parents' house where I have the lw3 pinball and I will try to fix it (now I am stuck in my house due to an illness). I have to order the screws that are used to screw the boards into the backbox. Can you tell me, please, which one to order? With inch measurements I'm not practical and I don't understand
Thanks
Quoted from Da-Shaker:Sorry, I’m not for sure. 1/4” or 3/8 maybe. 1/2” long. Guessing
Thank you very much, if the length is definitely that, I will take both measurements
Quoted from gdonovan:They will work fine.
Thank you very much, I had taken pictures anyway for confirmation

Da-Shaker I tested the Q5 transistors on the pbbb and the Q39 transistor on the CPU. Both are perfect.... I disassembled the CPU to be able to test Q39.. Once I verified that it was fully functional I reassembled the CPU.... And the knocker is back to working properly.. I don't know what may have happened
Quoted from Da-Shaker:Probably a loose wire or diode, bad molex connection or cracked solder joint.
So the problem is bound to recur in the short term
Quoted from kba78:No problem on the screws
Screws are perfect for boards. Thank you very much
Quoted from harig:[quoted image]
First of all thank you for answering me, unfortunately it's not the one because it is regularly screwed in place
Quoted from slizzap:I have the same 2 you guys already mentioned. Also have this one, which is a different size, but might be worth verifying.
[quoted image]
Also to you first of all thanks for answering me, that is bigger and is regularly installed on my
