Quoted from gdonovan:

Question- Can someone take some measurements of the shorter mirrored backpanel above the 3 flash lamps? Mine is missing of course so I'm just going to make one. Just let me know how tall it is overall minus the cutout for the ramp.

I have a diagram of the measurements but it must be on my home computer. I've been needing to do the same as well. Where are you going to source a small bit of mirrored plexi?

mirror plexi, some mirror tape or even a piece painted the same color as the cab.

No hurry and thanks!

P.S. spent some time tuning up the drop target mechs so they worked correct and some LED lighting tweaks, turning out to be another fun DE game which I assume will be even more fun once the DMD is working.

Well it's been 2 years and I can't even find the picture I was sent now. It might be on my personal PC that I left and work (and should've checked today). I'll keep looking for it. We've got the machine at my local collective and it still has it so I can just measure that now too.

I've got the mostly proper tools, I just can't seem to find mirrored plexi with such an odd shape. I think it has to be at least 24" wide but not much more that 3" tall.

It's a great game if its playing right. I love mine!

Outstanding, thank you!

If I pick up some mirrored sheet, anyone interested in a piece?

Could someone explain the skill shot to me when you first fire the ball? Is there a specific rotating target to be shooting at, am I missing something simple? Is my timing simply poor? The manual is vague.

Its like T2, hit the lit target.

Where? Left side of playfield?

Ah, thank you.

Not quite fully working yet, waiting for 2 microswitches to come in Saturday. Just got the DMD fixed Thursday and cleaned and waxed the playfield last night. I'm finding this to be a VERY entertaining pin and somewhat underrated for sure.

#714 4 years ago

Its a T2 clone/rip off; but different enough I dont mind owning both. LW3 is definitely flashier; the only thing I'd like to change is to edit out Pesci's "ok ok ok"

I find LW3 far more entertaining than T2 though I have only played T2's on location.

You can do that if you want; I put a Pinsound in mine. Changed out the music, mostly, but you can replace all of the sound effects if you take the time.

#717 4 years ago

I meant more of a rom edit than buying hardware. If I did get a pinsound it'd go in my T2 or Getaway first

#718 4 years ago

She's working 100% aside a drop target I'm replacing in the morning after whipping up some custom decals.

Made my own air ball deflector out of Lexan I had kicking around.

Not intuitive at all! I played around with it last night and finally figured out that you have to hit the target when it is lit with the pinball during the plunge, I was trying to figure out which target to hit on the DMD!

#721 4 years ago

Going to see how these look when installed. Police qualification pistol targets. Printed on heavy stock, touch of E6000 glue and mylar.

Agreed, I thought it was the DMD target as well at first. I actually watched my wife just plunge and get the skill shot bonus a few times before I figured out she was hitting the lit target on the PF and not what the DMD showed.

I have the exact same problem. My blue is definitely faded and matching it would be difficult so I might decal it as well

Looks great!!! Just out of curiosity, how did you apply the paint? Bristle brush, air brush, foam brush

Cab top and back fine foam roller, the rest was done with brush. 1/2" slant cut for the rough in and a number 0 for around the smaller details. All brush strokes done along the grain of the wood so it blends in. Very time consuming but I was on vacation this week and lots of places are closed.

Spoke too soon in regards to the mirror, got this dreaded message from the post office.

"In Transit, Arriving Late, Your package will arrive later than expected, but is still on its way. It is currently in transit to the next facility."

Just great.

That's the worst when you're waiting for something. Did your RoboCop plastics ship yet. Mine did and it tracks as left the country

I have shipping notice and tracking that package is in the Hermes system, so Robocop plastics are on way!

The post office lied, mirrored plastic arrived today. I must say, that looks sexy as hell. I opted for rounded corners and made the cutout as small as possible so it isn't as noticable as the factory unit.

Hey Guys my playfield is not kighting up below the pop bumpers on top, i replaced F4 fuse and one of the tabs that hold the fuse fell off. It still sits well there could that be the problem ?
Any other ideas ?

Yes

Great plains electronics sells high amp fuse clips. Easy enough with soldering iron to replace.

Doesn't take much to lose contact. I had one pin where I just rolled the fuse in the holder and the lights came back on. DE are notorious for issues with the 4 GI strings, I'd replace all four of the fuse holders as cheap insurance. They are cheap and you will have the board out anyways.
