Pretty new to pinball machines but really mechanically inclined. Bought a used Data East Hook in decent working condition. Cab a bit rough and dirty. Did a huge clean up on it, replaced all rubbers, rebuilt flipper with new coils, epoxied the cracked ramps, all new led's (used anti ghosting where needed). After doing all this repair, the machine got fast and eventually sheared apart one of the bumpers. Replaced/rebuilt what was needed on all 3 bumpers. Before I did any of the work, the bumper closest to the skull would fire 3x intermittently. I've looked over tech tip 39 about the slam issue. The right ramp switch wiring snapped away when I first started diagnosing it. Soldered back nicely but intermittently, the ramp noise comes on to the point if it happens while making a skillshot or multiball shot the game becomes frustrating to play. Sometimes the flashers on the left ramp go, sometimes it's the right one. Also noticing that if I just leave the ball on the plunger and keep firing flippers, it will make the noise and register 5k points. I do have one of the right uppers switches on the slingshots that I notice is missing blade (found the blade in the cab) not sure if this has anything to do with the issue, it does not fire from that switch, waiting for new switch in mail. Going to triple check the wire in the service bulletin as well as all screws. Any other advice on what to look for would greatly be appreciated. Looks like all boards are fairly clean and looks like all Data East circuits. Thanks.
