Hi guys,

Been reading alot from this forum and cant find a solution to solve my issue.

I had changed rottendog CPU, PPB, Power supply and I'm able to boot and play the game. The only issue i have now are weak flippers which make my gameplay very sluggish. Balls cant clear any ramps and when i place my fingers on the flippers, it not very powerful.

Now, I had rebuild the flippers with new busing, EOS, coil stop and the problem is still there. Does it means i need to buy the flipper board?

I measure the voltage on 3 flippers coils, it is reading 4-6v DC but on the other coils like slingshot, VUK, pop bumpers etc. they are reading at 46V. Why are my flippers coils are not getting 50v?

Any ideas

Quoted from pinballwil:

check the wires in the conectors on the flipper board and power board, sometime there is a loose wire when pulled them off.

Yup, checked.

Quoted from Dayhuff:

Yes check the flipper board over carefully. Fuses and fuse clip holders too.
John

Yes, I even resolder them once more.

Quoted from pinballwil:

is the relais on the cpu working when start a game?.

Can you show me the location of this relays?

Quoted from snyper2099:

Data East is a little odd because it uses a different voltage (6V) for it's "flipper hold voltage", unlike most all other DMD machines.
Usually, this is a flipper board or flipper board fuse issue. It's in the lower cabinet, along the left side. Could also have cold solder joints on that flipper board. If you can't fix it, Rottendog sells them: http://rottendog.us/FLP023.html

I was thinking that the TIP36C maybe shorted, thus I made changes to all 3 of them. Now when I plug all the wires in, both flippers were energised and F1 and F3 blew when I started the game. Now I'm clueless on what is wrong, will a new Rottendog flipper board solve this issue?

Quoted from snyper2099:

In that case, I am assuming that both F1 and F3 have been blown all along.
I don't know if your flipper board should be replaced. It is odd that the fuses didn't blow until you started a game.

Yeah I agree, used to be working but weak flippers.. only till i replace all 3 TIP36C, it blew when I started a game and both flippers energized. Any help will be great.

Was the original flipper board a DE one or a Rottendog board?

the original is DE board, and I change it to a Rottendog
