I got a time machine & I cleaned & properly gapped the switch contacts. Switches work great when I test them with my finger or they are lightly hit, but when they are hit during play they often don't register.
I believe certain games used to use a capacitor on such switches to avoid this? I don't see any evidence there was ever any on this game. Any solutions?

I've already put new foam backing on & all the contacts are definitely there. I've cleaned them all thoroughly with 99% ISO & business cards. Can a flexstone restore these if the gold plating is already gone? I guess it can't hurt to try at this point.
