ok i noticed that pin 2 on the CN22 connector was reading low on the bad board which is the blanking signal. the blanking light was also blinking intermittently. I followed that back to the NE555 chip and tested the readings. All the pins were reading high (except pin 1) compared to the working board which had pins 1,3,4,and 7 reading low. I checked the PNP transister q14 which is checking ok. So i was planning on ordering a new 555 chip, I was just wondering if you think there is something else i should check, maybe some other chips i should order just in case this is not the only problem. This one chip going bad, could be causing all my problems correct?
