ok i noticed that pin 2 on the CN22 connector was reading low on the bad board which is the blanking signal. the blanking light was also blinking intermittently. I followed that back to the NE555 chip and tested the readings. All the pins were reading high (except pin 1) compared to the working board which had pins 1,3,4,and 7 reading low. I checked the PNP transister q14 which is checking ok. So i was planning on ordering a new 555 chip, I was just wondering if you think there is something else i should check, maybe some other chips i should order just in case this is not the only problem. This one chip going bad, could be causing all my problems correct?

Ok i replaced the 555 chip and i dont think that is the issue. so i bought an eprom programmer and thought i burned a copy of leons rom. Here is the

site where i got the download:http://pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=Leon_Borre_Data_East_CPU_Board_Repair

which then directs you to this download: http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Versie5.zip

When i install it in a working board, nothing happens just the pia and 5 v light stay lit, i thought i should hear the relay cutting off on and on. I have a video of what happens here:

If the rim is working correctly, yes you should here the relay clicking. So, if it's not clicking in your working board, then I would guess something went wrong with Leon's chip while burning it

Quoted from kba78:

does anyone know if that is the correct file i burned this versie.5?

Any solution to this. The dmd on mine went dead the other night. Checked all fuses and connectors. Getting the proper 5v.
