Found a few wires cut. Any ideas where these came from?

Thanks guys! Anyone have a picture of these wire hooked up?

#3563 3 years ago
Quoted from vec-tor:

One set is for lamps...
red-xx
yellow-blue?

The others I could not see clearly...
but could be a solenoid?
Check you game manual.

Thanks for all your help man! I finally fixed my Eightball deluxe the coil under the apron that I forgot about was the problem. The wire came off and was shorting causing a bunch of weird issues.

Still working on my project Star Wars, Just bought a complete plastic set, now I need a translight anyone have one laying around they want to sell? Or is there a custom translight that looks better.

#3574 3 years ago
Quoted from DJY2J:

There’s A couple on EBay for about $88. There’s also an alternate here:
https://www.retrorefurbs.com/shop/star-wars-data-east-dark-side-alternate-pinball-translite/
I like the background of the alternate but Luke and Leah just don’t do it for me. [quoted image]

Yeah I saw that one I think I just want the original. Anyone have an original they want to sell?

#3577 3 years ago

Got my new plastic set today and started working on my project SW. What’s the best way to attach the Jabbas Bounty plastic?

Quoted from jtaudio:

Screws into a wood piece that is riveted with a bracket under the plastic.

OMG!! Great way to start a fire! lol

#3582 3 years ago
Quoted from koops:

That's how they came from the factory. Playfield is wood and so is the cabinet. That lamp holder is a low fire risk.

Okay I thought he was joking! lol

Alright attached now to solder the wires on but this light socket may not work, only has one leg on it..

Thanks didn’t even notice that. For some reason the wires were cut to these lights, so I made my own bracket and solder them to a light socket.

Okay thanks, I believe I saw that orange and black wire in the bottom of the cabinet somewhere.

This area had a post in the front of the ramp. Does the front of the right side plastic of the ramp have an two posts or one?

Quoted from vec-tor:

The tip of the plastic that holds the rollunder wire form and three lamps feature
has a tendency to break... I reinforced the plastic with an extra clear layer in order
to prevent the plastic from breaking... It is another bad design flaw.

Does the tip of the plastic attach to a separate post other then the front one? So what I am saying is my picture with the two posts correct?

#3598 3 years ago

What’s this plastic go to? It was in the new plastic set I bought and installed.

I managed to attach the switch/light bracket to this area. Seems pretty solid and level with the other side.

Looking for a display for my Star Wars, anyone have an old one laying around after replacing it with a colored one? PM me..

#3606 3 years ago
Quoted from Nomanimdave:

I just changed out my old Cherry DMD board for a color one. I was planning on putting it on eBay. What do you think would be a fair price?

I just found one.. Thanks!

#3607 3 years ago

Anyone know where I can find the bottom lip for the backglass trim piece at? I don't believe Marco has it or at least I didn't see it..
