The green toggle switch to put mine into settings mode is broken - any ideas where I might find one? Not seeing replacements on any of the parts sites.

Okay, try this another way...anyone have a hi-res scan of the death star speaker grills they could send me?
This is my first machine...good playable shape but lots of room for cosmetic improvement...I've put in LEDs, replaced most of the plastics, done some paint touch up (anyone know a match color for the red?), Titan bands, fixed a bunch of dead light sockets...think I'm going to
rebuild the pops next...
I'm too hooked on this hobby already for my wife's comfort, lol.
Not sure what you're talking about, but I I bet it's the wire piece I found in the bottom that I didn't know where it came from, lol. I was asking about that random plastic that goes over Luke and apparently sticks behind r2 a bit. If you get a chance, could you post a pic of the wire you are referring to? Thanks!
So suddenly the following is happening - no pops or slingshots will trigger, death star gate keeps going up and down. Everything else works, and the DS gate triggers normally if you hit it while it is up.
This started when I was trying to adjust the leaf switch on the back pop bumper (which is a @#$& to reach. Not sure if I did something or it's coincidence. Looks like the power line to the pops and slingshots are one and the same...think I could have blown a fuse touching something by accident?
Anyone have a recommendation on specific red paint for touchup work? I picked up a matching blue, but the body on my cab is pretty rough.
Also still seeking someone to sell or make death star speaker grills
Quoted from FLASHBALL:Having trouble sourcing the middle piece of the right side lane guide. Here is a photo of the piece im searching for. Anyone have any leads on these?
[quoted image]
Manual shows Part# 550-5043-01
Marco carries the lower piece: 550-5037-01
Maybe it could be modified to replace the middle?
I was looking for that recently too; I have them but they are pretty yellowed and wanted to replace. Wound up just doing new lowers, middle isn't really noticeable. However, if you straight up need the piece I'm pretty sure I saw someone offering metal replacements for this standard DE setup. Unfortunately I can't recall where, but you might try looking for that at marco, pinball life, google, etc....
Finishing up a tear down shop on mine (lotsa dirt, lotsa fixes, lotsa upgrades). Cabinet is still beat up but I'll get to it eventually - better than new otherwise. Couple questions though:
1. Anyone have suggestions for small (like hotwheels or micromachine size) TIEs and/or XWINGs? Thought it would be cool to put a little fleet of 3-4 in there somewhere. I've found some options but I'm guessing some of you found things you like in particular.
2. Other than full upp'ing to a pinsound board, are there any options to upgrade/swap the soundtrack? Thought I saw a sound rom out there at some point or something. I want to put a pinsound in it at some point, but I've kinda tapped out for the moment between a few hundred in replacement parts, upgrades, color DMD. Upgraded speakers & woofer w/ a crossover cheap with amazon stuff, sounds great, would love the williams tunes - just not at ~400 right this moment. Coulda bought another pin already, lol
Anyone swapped out coils to lower the absurdly high flipper power, and have a specific rec for coils? I'm thinking I need to go down at least a couple notches...game played pretty well until I did a full shop job, rebuilt the flippers while I was at it. Turns out the worn out flippers we're dialing it back for me, damn near unplayable now, hits stuff scary hard :p
Ah, thought DE wasn't adjustable...guess I should have checked! Still think I'll need a lower coil size, this is pretty nuts. When I shopped the machine, I discovered the ramp wall at the bottom had about 3in busted off. Someone had patched it with a piece of plastic and I never noticed until tearing it down. Wondered how the hell they snapped the metal in the ramp - these flippers could absolutely do it with a ball now, lol.
