Quoted from Psw757:

Anyone think there is a way to make the millennium falcon from the new Stern machine work on the DE game?
Would be a cool addition if we could get it to work and illuminate with the hyper space shot.

I would be in for that. Anyone have the link to what one they used? I could experiment with it.

Quoted from jgadzia:

ok who in their right mind would pay 10 grand for this, i was surprised that 65 people were watching this, probably all star wars owners ready to list theirs for 10 grand!
ebay.com link » 1990 Vintage Star Wars Pinball Machine

That's a bargain compared to the $25,000 Back to the Future that's been on there.

Quoted from Tinnhound:

On a hot sunny day, I laid down one sheet of black construction paper, followed by a sheet of pinball glass, then the cleaned plastics, then gently laid a second sheet of pinball glass on top. It took 2 nice sunny afternoons, and they were perfectly flat, just like new!!

You can also do the same thing with two sheets of glass and a heat gun. Lay the plastic down and go back and forth with a heat gun. You will see the plastic start to move. Sometimes it actually bends a little more before it starts to lay down. Once you get to that point, lay the other sheet of glass on top and after a couple of minutes to cool, you have perfect plastics again.

It appears to match the same mounting holes as the X wing target in the middle. I wonder if the prototype didn’t have the flasher or something and this was the plastic that was originally designed or a service bulletin or something.

is there any way to fix the silver lettering on the data east pinball apron. some of my silver lettering is gone?

This is what I did with my JP. My original
Plan was to paint the area silver and then paint black and rub off the letters to leave the silver letters showing. I ended up liking the look of a “plaque” when I sprayed the silver so I left it that way. Just something a little different.

Quoted from MotorCityMatt:

Where is the knocker suppose to be? Mine appears to be missing and cant find in the manual.

It’s very common to have the transistor go bad and the knocker locks on. I think it’s Q29 if my memory serves me right. Most people just take it out. So if you install it and it knocks when you turn the power on, turn it back off. You will have to replace that transistor.

Anyone have any tips for putting rivets into plastics? I've never used a rivet gun before and don't want to break an expensive CPR plastic replacement.

These work great. I think you have to buy the rivet set separately.

Quoted from DJY2J:

Hello, having a first time issue with my Star Wars. Keeps saying 1 ball missing when all balls present. Will not start a game and all coils kick a ball out when I drop one in.
My first guess is that it’s a switch issue in the trough that’s failing to acknowledge but I’m not an expert and haven’t had the issue in any other machines.
If so, if you could tell me the kind of switch I can order it from Marcos but I’m a beginner when it comes to knowing about switches.
Thanks!

Look at your trough switches. Could easily be a broken wire. You can run through the diagnostics and check the active switches. It will show you which one is not registering. Or you can take the balls out and put it in switch test and manually trigger each trough switch and find out which one is not working.

Quoted from wolfemaaan:

How is you foam behind the Targets? I can see you have some but it looks a little worn. You might try evening out the right one with the left to have a down angle, but other than this I think the only thing you can do is have good backing foam

Make sure the big support that the foam attaches to is not bent back. If it is, it’s allowing the target to flex more and become a jump ramp.
