I just shopped my friend's SW and it went from pretty rough looking to quite nice LEDd the whole thing, replaced broken plastics, brand new black rubbers, all new pop number caps (red of course), cleaned the crap out of it (looked like it hadn't been cleaned, well, ever) and fixed the non working Death Star target (goes up and down again).

I did have a couple questions...where can you get this new ROM on a chip to install into the machine? And the second, when you first power it up, Obi-wan is suppose to say 'The force will be with you'. However this one just says 'The Force', then the game clicks with an entire one blink of all the lights, and then it does its normal attract thing. Anyone have any idea of what would be causing the phrase to stop mid sentence?

Lastly, about the yellow Death Star target itself. I'm in the process of trying to making some of these. If it turns out like I hope, I'll post more info here. There just might be nice replacement for these elusive things yet...
