Yeah, that's no good. Shoot me a pic of what you're missing, and I might be able to help.

Quoted from wspy:I'm looking for a used SW playfield to upgrade mine. No need to be in perfect conditions. Any leads on this?
Thanks!
I'll be starting a restore on mine soon. How bad yours? Mine just needs inserts set and a clear coat with very minor spot touchups. I would consider doing yours with mine but not sure if canada shipping might be an issue. Ive only seen 1 on ebay. $900 if i recall. It was nos.

Quoted from joelleoj:What do I need to upgrade my ROM? Marco Specialties has the following and I'm not sure which I need:
#EPROM2422 - Star Wars (DATA EAST) EPROM ROM0 A1.05
#EPROM2939 - Star Wars (DATA EAST) EPROM C5 GAME 1.04
#EPROM2421 - Star Wars (DATA EAST) EPROM C5 GAME 1.03
Buy them from pinsider ChadH directly in my opinion. ChadH developed them, he should get the $ from the sale of them.
pl42bl, 4 ohm. http://www.amazon.com/Pyle-PL42BL-180-Watt-Two-Way-Speakers/dp/B000230LBI
I can make a variation of this that allows a gap for leds once I get the size and test fit correct. More to come.

Edit: pic of test fit attached. I pulled this off the printer about 1/3 of the way through the job to make sure it would be a good fit. It is, so moving forward with making 2 at full thickness. They need to be about an inch thick in order to set the tweeter assembly back far enough so you can't see it behind the grill.
IMG_4899 (Large).JPGHey Paul. The spacer sits behind the speakers like so. So basically it allows you to have full range speakers without being able to tell they are different than stock. I think for an led version you'd exclude cylinder-shaped holes in the sides of the spaces at about a 50-60 degree angle and shine the lights away from the player, towards the speaker. That would allow some light to glow through the death star. Might look like crap, but might be cool. Not sure, really.

That upgrade rocks my basement. I also upgraded the woofer. Parts Express....
GRS 8PR-8 8" Poly Cone Rubber Surround Woofer
Part # 292-428
80 Hz Low Pass 8 Ohm Crossover
Part # 266-442
Quoted from Jgaltr56:Installed the same Pyle speakers using Curbfeelers spacers. Perfect fit! Now I just need a Pinsound board.

Thanks for posting, and very glad they fit
That woofer I posted above is installed in 2 of my dataeast pins and 3 pins total. There's a pretty good writeup of my updating Robocop. A pic of the woofer and x-over in post #4.

When you get the car speakers in the head and this woofer, you really rock the house. Dataeast pins have great sound, and this setup doesn't disappoint when it comes to showing off that great sound. And the price is right, of course, which is awesome.
I'd guess that an external sub under the pin would just about shake plaster off the walls!!! If you like that kind of thing

Do you have a meter? Most likely it just broke at the solder point, but it's always good to test for voltage in test mode.
