Got it
Got the DMD-lcd, love it
Tested a Pinsound but loved the original 90- soundtrack too much so I sold it
If Chad still reads posts here I have a suggestion for the next rom version (if there will be one):
When you hit the x-wing targets the voice call ”red one standing by” sound be triggered, so each x-wing target can have a number, red two standing by when you hit target number two and so on, wouldnt that be really nice?

The sound call is on a mix table. Same for the return lanes, and orbit shots.
The mother board needs to be modified so as a larger rom capacity could be used.
The game has so much potential...A 6809 cpu style system 11 board would be needed.

You know you can play the original with a Pinsound right? (With better quality and options). Either way, I like the Data East whacky 90s music as well sometimes, it has a distinct retro sound

You can do this with pinsound. You drop in all those files to a specific call out and it will randomly play through them all

My mix has a ton of the rebel chatter triggered from the x-wing targets. It would be nice if the Pinsound firmware supported sequential play of cues in a folder that could be triggered per game. It is something that has been suggested but I don’t know if it’s possible of was strongly considered by the brothers.
I even suggested using something like a text file that could keep the record of the last cue called and have it erase at the end of a game.
I’d love to control not hearing the same cues per game and still allow for either random access or sequential play.
The solution I use to allow some degree of control of the possible play of a cue is creating duplicates of the ones I want to hear more often and then when the board calls the folder - it has a higher percent of accessing what I intend on the random call.
For example, the cue for opening the Death Star in the game I want the cue X-Wings Draw Fire to play the majority of the time; but, I sometimes want the cue Into the Trap from RotJ to play. So, I think I’ve got 5 Draw Fires in the folder to 1 Trap.
Pinsound is soooo close to being perfect. Just a bit more refinement on control and a bunch more on ease of creation/identification would make it incredible.
Keep in mind that the PinSound does NOT make a difference wheb you use the original sounds only (unless you want the shaker). It will still be the old crappy quality, because it’s playing the same low-fi sound samples that are on the eproms. Only when you switch to one of the new mixes you‘ll have hifi music quality.
One thing for chads ”1.08”; when hitting The Force hole without the lamp lighted (dark side) all lamps gets dark execpt the Relaunch lamp, would be nice if really ALL lamps where dark
Quoted from shepP:Ministry of Pinball. I have them on my machine as well. They look amazing! I like sideboard decals that match the art on the playfield.

I’m kinda torn in regards to side boards. I really like the mirror blade look, too…

Agreed!
Quoted from highstream:Chad, how is the status, will there ever be a 1.08 update?
Hopefully we’ll see something by next year, which on October will be the 30th birthday of this pin!
I haven't been in this club for a few years (Only have Stern Star Wars now), but DE Star Wars got requested a lot for custom 3D/Lenticular apron cards, so I created a set for the game if anyone is interested-

I have not, but I did mount a spotlight on the uppermost thread of each slingshot (facing up the playfield). Works well, and relatively cheap. Just sired into the GI for the slingshot lights.

Just joined the club after picking up a documented Home Use Only example that had lived with a Star Wars collector all these years! Would love to touch up two small areas but noticed that Pinball Universe is shut down and I can't find anywhere else to get the paint match.
Does anyone have any of this paint left they would be billing to part with?

Not really it was done by eye.
I should have a fair amount left, let me look around work and see if I have a sample bottle I can drop some in and mail your way.

I actually sent him some in the mail, took forever to get there!
Anyone have the pin2dmd files for Star Wars? I went to download from vpuniverse and can't get in. Been waiting for 6 months to install the unit and this is slowing me down now!
Starting tearing everything down and shopping out my game and noticed that the backbox ground braid was not attached. The right rear of the backbox is attached but the other end is not. Anywhere specific to attach this end?
Looked through all images and manual but didn't see anything specific.
IMG_3373 (resized).jpgScreen Shot 2021-12-07 at 8.48.30 PM (resized).pngChair - attached are two pics showing my ground straps. I’m not saying they are correct, but this is how I got the machine.
The pic showing the straps for the display, one strap goes to the diagonal corner, the other goes to the speaker.
The other one shows the ground strap that goes to the head locking mechanism.

The ground strap goes to each corner of the dmd.
The right side mounts to the corner of the dmd pcb.
The left side is mounted to the lower left metal shield.
Has anyone installed LED OCD's Gizmo in their DESW? Mine came in the mail today but there aren't an instructions anywhere for DE. http://ledocd.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=19

Try CN7 on the main CPU board.

Thank you. I have the LED OCD hooked into that too, I don't think that is it. Gizmo is for GI lights.
