Anyone install the sideboard decals from Ministry of Pinball? They look really cool and match the games artwork.

Does anyone make ball eject protectors for sw? I couldn't find any apart from the normal hole protectors from cliffy.

Hi! I would like to show my recently changed power connector with new, equivalent molex parts. Old one provoked some random resets and got insanely hot.

I'll leave here the molex references I used, may be useful for any of you someday:

Flipper power question. Is the Grey and Blue wires the high power (50v) and the Orange low power or visa versa?

Can somebody post a pic of their flipper coil setup? I keep hearing some people have EOS but DESW doesn't appear to have these at all. It appears the Orange/Violet (Right Flipper) and Orange/Grey (Left Flipper) are low voltage from CPU Board CN 19-1 (Right) & 19-2 (Left). And the Blue-Yellow (Right Flipper) and Grey-Yellow (Left Flipper) are High voltage from Solid State P.S. BD CN 2-4 (Right), 5 and CN 2-1, 2 (Left). There also doesn't seem to be a ground anywhere on the flipper coil/assembly. Just wanted to be sure this matches up with everyone else here.

I'm still getting weak flipper response/flipper hold and once I verify this, going to measure the power off each connector

No EOS, everything is controlled by the Solid State Flipper board in the lower right hand side of the cabinet. Blue/Yel and Grey/Yel is the power coming from the board, 50v for initial flip, 8v for hold.

There is a lot more information about this in the Lethal Weapon 3 manual than there is in the Star Wars manual.

Ok, thanks for the info. The coils get pretty hot and flippers seem to get weaker as that occurs. Will need to dig deeper to see why this issue is occurring

Anyone know if there is a setting to auto-launch the ball after a certain amount of time? I have desw in my waiting room and when kids leave it mid-game it keeps making the tie fighter whooshing sound over and over.

Hey gang. New pin owner. Having a Star Wars Power issue. Replaced the power board and have now discovered it's and issue at the fuse down in the volume control box. It's finicky and had to be twisted in just right for the machine to power on. It has since gotten extremely worse. The bottom of the fuse holder will literally catch on fire if turned on. Holy he'll. What do I do?

These pop bumper cap decals really do look nice. It makes the pops look a lot less bulky and ties in with the theme really well. I'd recommend them for sure. Took about 10 minutes to install.

I've wanted to put these on mine. I have some side panels that I bought from Ministry of Pinball that I have yet to install. I think the artwork style looks very similar to that already in the machine.

Those look slick! I might pick up a set of those as well. I really like that look. The alternative is a cheap vinyl material from eBay.

#2783 1 year ago

I emailed them to see if they can have some drop target decals made up that also match the artwork. It would be pretty cool to have one made up for the death star target!

I normally don’t like blades or panels but these look great.

I got a Death Star target from a guy here on Pinside a while back. Basically paid him for shipping and materials.

His Pinside handle is bestshot31

PM me and I'll share his email address.

You can see his work here. He also made some x-wing target decals:

The chrome is looking pretty worn on my R2D2 head. From a little Googling to my surprise it looks like these have not been reproduced and it’s just not cost affective to have it re-chromed.

If you have a nice spare I’d be interested. Worst case scenario I’ll spray it silver.

Please drop me a message in my inbox.

Hi guys, I have a new never used complete pop bumper assembly for sale, pt # 500-5227-01 minus the cap $80 shipped in the lower 48. PM me if your interested.

Still hoping this becomes a reality someday:

Edit:
Before anyone gets their hopes up, ChadH's statement after originally posting the above:
"I got it working long after the code was released... but unfortunately it's a hack and won't work in the real game. I'd love to some day figure out a way to incorporate it but chances are really slim. I was happy to at least be able share what it was for historical purposes."

Come on ChadH! Do we have to get a Gofundme together for you to get this working in 1.08?

That's pretty awesome. I do wish it had been added to the custom ROM. Maybe make it worth 5M if you miss and 15M if you make it all the way to the end?

i am shopping my star wars i have some mylar that is wearing off. Have any of you removed your mylar. How did you do it, did you have any problems? I also was looking for a coil sleeve kit for this game and marco doesnt seem to have one, do you guys just buy each coil sleeve individually or do you know where i can get one?

20190104_165247 (resized).jpg
#2795 1 year ago

There is a good thread on here on removing Mylar, I think it's titled "removing Mylar mastered". Few different methods, freeze method which is canned air (dust blaster) turned upside down, heat method which is a heat gun (or hair dryer) just be real careful to not melt your plastics (done that...). Read up on it before you start so you don't damage your playfield, lift off insert art, or damage plastics.

For coil sleeves, if you have the manual, the part numbers for each coil sleeve should be listed and you can search for them on Marco or Pinball life. PDF of manual should be on IPDB.

thanks will do. looked in manual unfortunately there is not a list of coil sleeves. in fact, only 7 of the sleeves are listed. some of the diagrams have sleeves listed but not all. I have counted 17 coils and am going to order based on coil size?:

i have counted:

(11) 23-800 coils so ordering (11)545-5031-00 sleeves
(2) 22-1080 flipper coils so ordering (2) 260-0004-00 sleeves(not sure why these have different numbers they appear to be the same size?)
(2) 23-840 coils (2) 260-0004-00

there is a (1) 24-940 coil on the ball launch and a 25-1240 on one of the scoops and there is nothing in the manual about what size sleeves. anyone know?

#2797 1 year ago

Star Wars coil sleeves:
1) Flippers are like Williams type; 545-5388-00 qty ( 2 )
2) V.U.K. "through hole type"Knocker, Kick Back,
--- Ball Launch;------------------- 545-5076-00 qty ( 4 )
3) Ball release kicker ------------ 545-5031-00 qty ( 1 )
4) Drop Target assembly -------- 545-5076-00 qty ( 1 )
5) Sling Kickers, Pop bumpers, Scoop kick Big,
--- Outhole Kicker --------------- 260-0004-00 qty ( 9 )
I would order multiples of each part... I may have missed up...
or to be doubled insured.

Just got a star wars. Working on updating to the home rom as we speak. Had a question on the display rom. Currently running A1.05. What version do I need for colordmd and chadh's rom? His site says its the same as colordmd, but colordmd doesn't say which one on their site.
