Hey all. New to the forum. My Star Wars machine is having an interesting issue. About a month ago the Fire button on the lever stopped working. For some reason the right flipper button took over these actions, launching the ball, firing in the shootout, etc while continuing to control the flipper. As of yesterday, the right flipper button has stopped performing these functions, but still controls the flipper as expected.

When turning on the machine or running diagnostics the launcher coil fires as expected. Any help would would be appreciated!

I'm no expert but it sounds like a really smart piece of programming to compensate for a broken shifter switch. Can anyone else confirm?

If you activate the right flipper three times it should fire the trough
solenoid; during skill shot mode.

Star Wars Pinball Blue Pantone swatches

I took out my Pantone swatch book to match the cab blue in indirect clouded soft sunlight, the good news is the Star Wars cabinet blue matches a CMYK breakdown better than the Pantone equivalent. Slight problem, the colour jumps between the front and the side and the backbox on mine, this indicates sun fade on the front, as the side cab and the backbox are close in consistency to cyan - 100%, magenta 35% yellow 0% and black 20% - note you will need a colour calibrated printer to print out a test sample to check, or if you have the money an iris or chromalin proof sheet on colour

Please keep in mind you cant just add white into the mix and hope for a match, it either has to be a new blend or a custom colour mix up from red, blue and yellow, white will just pastel out most of the time.

I will try get a new read in direct sunlight when i dismantle the back box at some point for repair

One of the reasons im doing this is because I bought a wand scanner and I am going to scan in the artwork at 900 dpi then retouch the cab artwork, with this CMYK match the print will match up to the existing pin cab blue.

WHY ? I currently have two Star Wars machines, the one is in fantastic shape, but the second cab is not, so im going to make new decals, then put them up for free

What's so strange it that it was playing totally normal, then "fire" changed to running off the right flipper button, then stopped working at all. So now I have no way to launch the ball and can not play. I need to run through the diagnostics again and see if anything stands out.

Wow. That download site was just porn link after annoying ad. Can you put it in a Dropbox or something? I'd love to get it but I gave up.

Thanks for doing the work though! Anyone know how to print a translite?

Im worried disneys lawyers shut my dropbox down or give me hassles, so no unfortunately not, the suspect dodge site gives me some anonymity

you need to find someone who does flatbed printing directly onto film or plastic and then have a white print or latex white print put on afterwards, the white back is normally a process of flatbed printing. Make sure you get them to print rich black or under the light in the backbox your blacks will show grey

Use mega.nz instead.

#2263 7 years ago

I recently purchased this machine and a couple things that I have noticed is (1) when extra ball is lite and you shoot ball up ramp extra ball is not awarded and (2) when ball goes in the force chute and cantina is selected and the count down begins seconds will pass before ball ejects. I'm not that familiar with game rules so are these 2 things normal and I'm missing something here or do I need to fix something?

2 hours to download that file? No thanks!

The ramp shots lites the Extra Ball lane. You shot the lane
in order to get the Extra Ball.

#2266 6 years ago

I have shoot the same lane mutiple times and it still doesn't award. I assume when it does award it makes a sound of some kind

#2267 6 years ago

Here is a couple pics of my playfield after I clear coated it. Putting new plastics, new switches, posts, clear rubbers. Waiting on a few more parts. Got pinsound installed.

Sounds like you have a switch that is not working. I am guessing Switch 35 which is "ObiWan Trough"... this one is underneath the playfield.

#2269 6 years ago

Please help.

I have this buzzing sound coming from the right speaker it seems, its getting louder. I took a video of it

What can i do to stop it and make the machine quite?

#2270 6 years ago

If i unplug this behind the DMD it stops

IMG_0989 2 (resized).jpgIMG_0989 2 (resized).jpg

#2271 6 years ago

I'd start with the grounding of everything on the speaker panel and making sure it has a good ground connection back to the wingnut

#2272 6 years ago

I have done that, i replaced the cable going from the wall to the power box. I just put in a new Rottendog power board and it's allot worse

Hello all, i have a star wars i am doing some restoring and customizing to. I have installed all new plastics and a plastic protector kit. The thing is i have 3 pieces of plastic from the regular kit that was not on this machine. Can someone tell me where they go or are they just extra. I am very curious. I posted this in the restore section also but thought everyone in this area would know all about this machine. Here are a few pics. Thanks

The small plastic goes under the left force plastic, just on top
of the scoop kick-out.
The other plastic looks like it wants to go under
the plastic to the center targets, but the stars are in the
wrong direction.

Nice! Can you share what product you use for clearcoat? I have a T2 diamond finish i want to do. I think somebody cleared it with a brush or something stupid, will have to block sand it and refinish correctly but trying to make sure the topcoat does not react with below finish.

I have never figured out where that trapazoid clear plastic goes. Anyone know?

Did you figure out the smaller ones? They are 1st layer plastics.

I used auto 2 part DuPont chromo clear.

Thanks, The small piece did go under the force piece. I still do not know where the other small piece goes or the big clear piece.

#2280 6 years ago

Hi guys,

Any one can help here, it seems I'm missing one flasher under this part(picture), some can please share a photo to see if I need to install one? Thanks.

Hi,

I agree, those lights looks really cool on the scoops, I used 12v led strips, I think is 3 leds, red and blue. I connected to the 12v from the coin door, will take pictures.

Like I said. The bright is mounted under that center piece
of plastic. It is riveted to it upside down. period! If you have
a new repo plastic, it does not come with a #89 lamp socket.
I took mine off and mounted it under the playfield along with a
#44 bayonet socket; so I could have extra G.I. lighting.

You should have an
-- 077-5107-00 socket to the plastic.

Has anyone know a full list of all the required replacement lamp sockets on a desw playfield?

I'm gathering parts for my playfield swap and don't know what sockets to order without ripping apart the existing pf before I'm ready.

#2297 6 years ago

Hi All,
Just wandering if anyone has found a good replacement for the inner blue R2D2 dome? Both of mine are wrecked so would like to pick up some replacements.
Cheers,
Andy
