Hi. Been lurking for years. Not a big social media guy. I love pinball and am happy to be here. I'm glad there's folks who care this much about pinball that would come on to help others.
Anyhow
....
How do you sell a Data East Tales from The Cryp tee pinball machine if it has humming speakers and buzzing dmd?
Disconnect the right speaker and it reduces it 50% till the poor dumbwad gets home and realizes it.
Yes this happened just the other day. I'm not about bashing folks so I'm not going to get into the details but when I went to buy my pinball machine the other day I noticed the hum coming from the speakers and the owner said oh they all do that and yeah I understand they do that but I said is there any idea to effects and he says well you just have to connect the one speaker back to the board so I had some time today to start diving deeper into my machine and I realized he actually disconnected the right speaker when I reconnected the right speaker I heard the loudest I'm coming from both of them he also said he replaced the power board so I'm sure that has something to do with it again I'm not getting into too many details but just more of a story to make sure that you look at what you're buying up and down and left and right because there's people out there who would rather you figure these things out what's wrong with them and try to sell you on your excitement rather than sell you a good piece. Yes I was that stupid not to spend more time examining the entire machine and I will know better next time but people who care about others and say they care about others in the hobby would at least give you a heads up as to what's wrong with their machines before they sell them to you. Not to mention sometimes it's funny to play stupid with somebody who thinks they're going to take over on you but the tables get turned on them for doing those things. anyway I'll be on here left and right because I'm looking to upgrade my machine and hope that I could be of help to others when I can
