Just picked this up yesterday from a fellow pinsider yesterday and all was good for 10 games.

This morning, the upper right flipper coil will not hold in cradle/low voltage mode.

It fires then drops.

Any ideas on troubleshooting? I've done it on Williams games, but not Data East.

How do I decide whether I need a new coil already?

The flipper coil very very seldom ever goes bad.Lift up the playfield and unscrew the coil stop to that flipper and just start cleaning the coil sleeve,the return spring,ect.Try this first and see if it works out,A lot of times gunk starts to build up and just needs to be cleaned off.

I'm sorry I almost forgot check the eos switch to that flipper and make sure it's properly adjusted and no blades are bent or broken off.
