I love data east pins. Have had 3, have 2 currently. One of the first things I do when a DE pin comes to live with me is upgrade the sound. It only costs like $40-$50 ish and makes a HUGE difference in sound quality. I'm helping a buddy do a DE Simpsons later this week which will be the 4th DE upgrade I've done.
Thought I would post links to the ones I've done.

For games with screen-printed grills you do have to use a spacer. I 3d printed the one on Star Wars but have started making CNC ones now, which is tons faster and makes a way better end result.
